@Warzog, have a good rest! But when you come back you can respond to this:

Pani:
Tolwyn sent me an Arrow, so we don't need another one right now.
We're planning on adding everything in that Doc that you sent me.
I'm not sure if we can duplicate the Gemini sector.


Why not use both Arrows which ever is more detailed make it a military craft, whichever is less detailed, make it a militia with a few less weapons, the object is to improve on Privateer not just match it. Broaden the scopes a bit.

Also, did you ever receive word whether or not you could use the Vesuvias?

About 4 pages ago I got permission, but I had problems with it's skin, and to many bugs to try to get it in, yet.

Hey i've been Running the mod a bit more and have to Say to all those working on it to call up Origin and tell them you can help create a Privateer 3 because this mod is by far the best i've gotten as far as decidation,hard work and enjoyablity.

Noticed very few bugs so far inculding
Epee's power for guns is buggy (guns don't drain the bar but they do run out of it)
The Crossbow's card shows 1 turret but theres 2 (Minor)
theres some minor stuff not too much so to Wardog and all the others working on this mod
Your doing a great job and i can only hope to help by finding the bugs (and even those are few and far between
Oh and as for ships all my request seem to be going into this already just need to help with the excort missions abit Transports are blowing up a bit easy
so i made this up on the fly feel free to change it
Freelancer ship ---> WC ship
Frigates -> Orions
Armored transport -> Galaxiy
Transport/Large Transport/Trains -> Drayman
That would help out a little with escort missions like #1 and the willard
As for the enemy's shield regenerating too fast i found out why they were, The enemy A.I only seems to use 1 Shield battery at a time to bring it's shields back it also does the same with nanobots.
But they don't Regerate fast enough for my Crossbow now =)

A lot of that has been address, and changes are being made.
Don't have a Drayman yet, but it sure would help!

@Warzog, the Centurion! Party!

I forgot that you said indeed that you had permission, I just remember you saying it wasn't likely to make it work even if you got the permission. Somehow my brain stuck to that memory.

Now that I have a new computer and hopefully I'll finish all my tweaks soon, I'll be able to try out the mod!

Can't wait!

warzog: the Arrow was partially converted by PANI. I only fixed a few hardpoints, fixed materials and created mat file.

I still need the milkshape file of the Centurion. It misses a few hardpoints and it's size has to be adapted to the current scail in the mod.

Paktahn, Dralthi and Vaktoth should be finished today

EXCELLENT!!!
I'd planned on using the oversized Dralthi, if I had to...
I've already got it's stats done!
(Just need to change the hardpoints for the new one.)

Hope you can find the Centurion.
Maybe Stannum still has it?
He might be in here soon.
(I've got stats for the old version done, too!)

By the way-I've already added Pani, Stannum, and Bob McDob to the Author's list.

And, I need to go print out stats for that Paktahn, and Vaktoth!

I may not get much done sunday, it's SUPERBOWL sunday!!!

I almost forgot...
In Wing Commander & Privateer there are 3 classes of fighters:
Light, Medium and Heavy.
In Freelancer there are 3 classes of fighters, too:
Light, Heavy, and Very Heavy.
To make conversion easier I'm using:
FL's Light=WC/P's Light
FL's Heavy=WC/P's Medium
FL's Very Heavy=WC/P's Heavy
Also, with the larger number of ships, and more stats available, I've managed to make a few formulas to convert Shields, Hit Points, Mass, Pitch/Roll/Yaw, gw/gj, etc.
So, I've got to redo the weapons, generators, shields, etc.
(Already redid the ships; stats, hit points, mass, engines, and the cameras.)
The next release should be a Wowser!!!

I have Centurion, btw, but it is not on my high priority list. We need a few capital ships in the game, so... once Concordia is done I will convert the Caernaven and then the Sheffield.

hi

some questions about the size....

i took the starlier from freelancer to look how big the ship ist - i think it should be about 20 meters like the arrow - so, when the arrow is 20m the morningstar should be a little bit longer (4m) and the broadsword should be about 1/3 longer than the morningstar (36m)

iam right?

I dont know if this helps but Panther X has converted working WC4 BW Banshee to FL. It will apear in next Evolution version 1.28. Allso warzog I have Privateer and Wing Commander 2 manuals in pdf format are you interested?
One thing, umm is it possible to change Freeport 7 to Tigers Claw in future versions. Stealth bombers destroying a station(carrier) total de ja vu.
And one final thing maybe the Nomads should be changed to Nephilm, would make a more lot sense and would fit well into FL own story. As for Steltec drones, maybe they should be only in one system guarding something(in Priv it was a wreck of battleship).

Ok just ran though yet another check of the ships *after prying my pity butt out of the beauty that is the Crossbow* and found that gun port # 2 of the sabre won't fire besides that i agree with the Super afterburners warning of not for ligther ships...*could somebody pry my hornet off this rock*
Besides that been looking in to helping with the mod myself and decided to leave it to the pros.
As for the drayman been thinking up some FL stats for it
Guns/turrets 2/6 (its a cargo tug not a battleboat)
Speed humpback (nuff said thar)
Armor high enough so the rouges don't rape em anymore with lasers
and shields would work nicely
Also thought about a player modle drayman (for those merchants out there)
and the price i came up with is right off victor's mod for Ioncross server
2.5M (after all the ship dealer in [priv one said "And who can afford those anyway"
Besides that I must say again how real this seems...just wishing for Xenos to become the Ranting Retros (Die by the Very weapons you adore)<-What they wanna say, What they did say-> Die by the Very weapo.......(void sucking sound)

Actually for the past 6 months I've been the only one (other than news makers) to bring these updates about Privateer mods to TLR, not a lot of interest until now so I can definitely say its been as much fun to watch this progress as it was watching and contributing to the creation of the cloak. Let's just hope this turns out better.

Have you added some commodities yet? How is that progressing?

@Tolwyn, if you want carriers, Warzog has permission to use the TCS Vesuvias and it apparently needs a few glitch fixes. But it's nearly complete (as seen below).
