I want to know if someone can tell me how I can make it so that weapons and thrustes don't use up energy.I know I saw it around here somewhere A while back,but for the life of me I can't seem to find it again.Also I wanted to know if it were possible to trasnfer A ship out of A mod and put it in let's say the normal version of the game and if so how would it be done?

I've followed all of the instructions for making the train flyable but they don't appear for sale at Manhatten. Any ideas?

Yep,

Did you remove one of the existing ships for sale at manhatten from being sold there?

Something like:

marketgood = lf_package, 1, -1, 1, 1, 0, 1, 1

And replaced it with your own?
If it was set to sell correctly, and you had done something wrong with the coding, then when you went to the ship dealers you would have been staring at the desktop! As you cannot see a ship there at all, I am guessing its not set to sell correctly

Hey guys

I wonder if anyone can help me out here.
I looked at some mods that I downloaded and I just don't know how to use the Xml scripts in my own modthat I'm creating can anyone explain to me how this works.

I hope anyonecan help me cause I'm alomst Desperate.
I just acan't seem to find out how they did it in other mods

Example the Friendly universe mod that came with FLMM 1.31
There is only script.xml in the folder

This Is my first post on this site. Though i've been playin fl for quite some time now, i never thought of moddin until recently and thus my modding skills are really limited. I have some Probs. I'll be grateful if anybody can offer a helpin hand.If these questions have already been asked, just guide me to the link. Here are they:

1. I changed the tractor length (in misc_equip.ini i think)so that i could tractor in far away commodities. But if there are more than one commodity, weapon etc floting far away in space, "Tractor All" doesn't work. I then have to select each and press tractor. Can Anyone help?

2. How can i access all the inaccesible gates (Tohoku, Alaska etc.). If i do manage this, then will the bases in those systems which were enabled in the story missions still work?

A lot of other questions. I've read some pages of this thread and i want to thank Accushot and chips along with others for their great spirit of devoting so much time and helping new-Bs like me. Regards!

I think this has to do with "fiddling" with files, kinda. Sorry, I'm new. How do you play with no story, someone said start a multiplayer by yourself, but you have to change some file? Help? Thanks

can u make it so if your friendly with pirates and you use a trade lane they wont hack you out of it?

I don't know much but about being friendly with pirates, u can change the friendliness of a faction with respect to the other in EMPATHY.INI.

Suppose U want to be friendly with the corsairs, open up empathy.ini and search for any faction u dont want to be friendly with or u aren't friendly with. eg mollys (or any other for that matter). You search for the section highlighting faction nickname of the mollys. You'll See underneath the main heading, the faction names of all the factions existant in this game with a no. in front of them. If you change that no to -1, the said faction will become the biggest enemy of mollys, if u change it to 1, the said faction and molly will become best friends.

So find the corsair faction there and change the value just after the faction name to -1. Your Done!!! Now if you kill a few mollys, Corsairs will become your best friends.

Thats all i know!!! There may be other ways which i am unaware of but this is all i can give u. I hope it helps!!!^--^

I changed ship prices, it worked, then I doubled their nan\bat, doubled their cargo, and added ten percent more armor to all ships, but the only thing that shoes up is the change in price, but nothing else is showing up. Does anyone know what I need to do to fix this problem?

I am working on a SP only Mod, I have a complete nav map, destructible bases, power supplies, armor, shield power cell, shield boosters, the fusion thing, cruise speed is 450, a bunch of thrusters, and more.

I would like to get instant docking, and the above problem fixed, also battleship encounters in all house systems. Any help would be great.

You need to edit the infocard of the ship. You can use FLEd-IDS to edit the infocards. And i made a tutorial covering how to edit the infocards of ships a while ago. It isnt my best work but it should be sufficient.

wizard_phoenix, I am aware of the tractoring issue and do not think it is fixable but if i find a way I will get back to you on it. There are many mods that reopen the Tohoku and Alaska systems or you can use FL-Explorer and create jumpgates there yourself.

bjj6, look in the downloads section, there are plenty of OpenSP mods that let you play through single player without a storyline.

This is all I get when I run fled-ids

What is wrong

Also tried changing the path, but same thing happened.

Thanks for helpin Parabolix, But Now i got a different prob (same as FlyByU has). My fl explorer refuses to run and says that it cant find the path of freelancer. It just says - " Freelancer.ini not found!!! ...exiting " .I tried installin fl explorer in different folders, including the fl folder itself. Please tell me if there is a way around this Prob. I'll be grateful!!!

Oops! Forgot somethin,

Got some more doubts....

1. Can we change the speed at which a ship travels inside a trade lane?

2. I made the entry for a new shield in market misc.ini and st_equip.ini. Then i added that shield in the package of sabre inside goods.ini. Now fl doesn't start at all. I have to restore backups to make fl run. What's the prob ???

Have you both tried reinstall Freelancer? And do you run Freelancer SDK after you install it? Also, FlyByU, that path is wrong, it usually has C:\Microsoft Games\Etc

wizard_phoenix, I dont believe anyone has figured out how to change the tradelane though there was an extensive thread talking about it. The problem with your shield is you forgot to include a st_good.ini entry. Also make sure all your entries are correct.
