I am affraid that i don't know what their ships are called in the files. Howver - it is in the goods.ini file. In here you can find ship "packages" and so on. When you find the correct one you will see somethign like this (this is an example from the normal game)

Of course yours would say TIE or something. Anyways - these don't come with guns, but if they do, they will have the lines of
addon = li_gun01_mark02, HpWeapon01, 1

And things like that. You can change the nickname to another gun instead. of course - i hear that TNG have encryption that means you cannot even find the info in their files - and no, i have no idea how they did it.....and i don't care either.

Question for CHIPS
Where can I find ship called HALBERD - outcast extra heavy fighter.I vistited your site and I saw that that ship is included in evolutions 1.27, but I can`t find it anywhere.I looked in file DATA/SHIPS/... but I can not find any information related to that ship.Is it passible that that ship is`nt included in evolutions at all????????

No idea about converting those files, i don't do modelling - unless you have a nice line in linger.........hmm - perhaps not - i am male after all!

The Halberd is in 1.28

i recentley tried my hand at modding and editing ini files for ships, my first act was to increase the cargo hold of my falcon ship to 100000 i then played the game and attack a transport that contained loads of cargo, i tractered the cargo and the beem was activated as if it was tractering the cargo but it seems to take forever to tractor it, is there a way to increase the speed of the tractor beams intake or something, any help would be appriceated thank you

Hey, I just have one question. I can't seem to export from Milkshape with the .cmp exporter fround on TLR. All it gives is a .dll file. Is this all I need or what?

Whello! okey i fear this Q has been asked many times... i just cant find the answers, so therefore ill ask again...

My Q is when i fx want a bigger cargo hold on a ship in SP i do what?
i start downloading Bini, then i uncompresse the "shiparch.ini" then i edit and then delete the added ".txd" and then start up the game right?

Well for some reason or another the game seems to overwrite my change... WHY?!
If i edit the "weapon_equip.ini" it dosent!

Oh and just one more thing: I downloaded Porches Sith Infiltrator, all works fine exept when i kill kill the engine, then uses the afterburn it start accelerating to 998... and thats ONLY on new ships... how do i change that? (in the "goods.ini"
it does have 2 engines insted of just 1...)

I have some trouble with my Gmax every time im trying to start it it says something like this, interactive 3D renderer initialization failed.
Please check your device by using the -H command line option.
is there anyone that can help me?

It wont let me export in Quake 3 in Gmax, instead it will only let me export as a plasma thing, what's that all about?

Ummm... You'll have to be a bit more specific. Exactly what have you done, where is it failing, and what (if any) are the symptoms?

I'm no "expert" but I'll try to help you out best I can.

Well, I'm making a ship mod, and I need to export my ship to Milkshake 3d. When I try to export it, it only lets me export as plasma or all formats. Milkshake won't recognize plasma, and it can't figure out what kind of format it is for all formats, so I'm stuck. If I need to add anything, say so.
