@Warzog, well I've finally been playing the mod and reimmersing myself back into Privateer. I have to say this mod is excellently done. I actually got a couple of those old thrills back as I afterburned into the jumpholes hoping my ship jumped before any pirates shot down my shields. Ah, the good old days of Privateer are back!
There are a heck of a lot more pirates and retros than I remember, but that's a good thing.
There are a few commodity problems, mostly to do with improper pricing or not providing enough of the commodities usually found at each station in the original game. But nothing too extraordinarily glaring, except I can't seem to find any place that sells Uranium, I see Plutonium from time to time, but so far no Uranium. I somehow picked up a few Freelancer commodities, which is no big deal and actually adds to the immensity of the sector.
The music is a great addition! In fact, I love the music much more than the FL music. I even remember one planet that had a terrific piano score. The mining bases, Perry & New Constantinople are superb model creations for the game. I am mightily impressed.
One thing that is annoying, but not bad at all, is that there are so many other ships on similar or intersecting flight paths that on GOTO I often see my ship running into and hitting those other ships.
If I had to pay insurance for space collisions, I'd be paying astronomical rates or I would bankrupt the insurance company who had to pay my claims.
Anyway, I finally can give you a sincere congrats on your hard work. It came out marvelously and so far very few CTDs for me. The combat is fun, I think I remember the Centurion and Orion being a little stronger, but I'm having a lot of exciting dogfights using the Galaxy.
Great work. It's a shame your computer kept messing up the files and you had to end your modding.
Thanks Warzog, and thank you Bob for starting it and continuing it.
