How come u havent been able to put the excalibur from wind commander 3 and the dragon from wing commander4 in any of the mod yet. Just curious. Would use them if u did.

Rodin is one of the aforementioned bases that I repaired.

I'll check the bars, but you should know that I used a very limited number of base templates.
Think of it like a Naval Battleship...

None of the robots take bribes, or give out information.

Haven't changed the DLL to reflect the changes, yet.
And not all of the Stars have infocards...
(I got tired of making them.)

I completely forgot about this...
In the "Data\Equipment" folder is a zip file.
If you open it, you will find a printable Commodities Map!
On the map are listed Minable Commodities in each System.
Along with what type of bases are in each system.
Any place with an "=P" beside it, indicates a Planet.

As to Tungsten, there are 10 systems where it can be mined.
And there are dozens of places to sell it at a higher than standard price.
But you must remember this:
Mineable Minerals are only needed by Refineries, so avoid any other place.
Also, the farther you get from a minable system, the higher the price.
And...
As a minable resource, which can accidentally be mined during combat, I had to keep the price low.

few questions:

is the paradigm model on the ftp (in the zip file) sorted with hardpoints etc.?
also did you convert it directly from 3ds to cmp without using milkshape?

I managed to make some refineries, even if they were an SOB to get right!
In Privateer, they're huge rocks, with machinery sticking out of them.
Well, I took rock bases, gave them Kyoto and Vogtland interiors...
And then I stuck an MPlatform in the side!
That sounds more like a Privateer mining base. I haven't been able to play this mod for a while, so it could be you just typed the wrong word

I'm Looking forward to giving it a shot, guess I have to boot into Windows for the first time in a month I'm curious how my Orion looks in a new engine and with a new texture..

What exactly did you find wrong with the paradigm?

I tested it by just making it flyable and the textures and everything was fine, the only very minor problem was the fact that the camera was in an odd place. Everything else seemed fine to me.

Do you have the all-gray texture, or the one with the green trim?
The version of the one with the green trim, that I have, is missing the textures on the wings.
Keep getting a "Can't find texture" error, that eventually causes CTDs.

no, i think that was the all grey, will look at the other one

EDIT: where do the textures go(top/bottom/where the engines are etc.)? i have four:

p1
p2
engine
green

because probly the easiest way to do it is to take the ms3d file with the hardpoints and redo the textures and then re-export

If it's the same as the one I have, p1 is the bottom half, p2 is the top half. The green bit is only that little strip that runs around the side between the halves. Engine is only the very back of the engines, the round bit. Should be 8 of them.

have just uploaded a fixed version of the paradigm, not 100% sure if the size is exactly right, but other than that it seems fine.

anything else i could get on with?

I just downloaded the Paradigm, and uploaded the Bearcat.
The file contains the Bearcat.Cmp & .mat that Bob McDob made.
(It's missing several sections of it's textures.)
Also included are the original 3DS, and TGA files that he based his version on.

If you can get this one fixed, I've got a real challenge waiting for you!

Your guess is as good as mine!
In Poser 4, all I need to do is point to the directory where they are, and they automatically load to the correct locations.
I have no idea how to install them manually.

BTW-Your Paradigm has the same problem:
No textures on the wings.
"Missing Texture" errors.
BTW-it's also very tiny, about the size of a Galaxy.

Download the HardCMP program from here at LR.
It allows you to view models as they will appear in the game.

Update:
While testing the new refinery, the "Trade Routes" function started working.
Appears to work if you start at any base but New Detroit.
Wierd!

Also...

There's a new UTF editor available.
I'm going to see if I can use it to create a working voice mod.
