I have taken the jump hole in the Badlands to Texas with no problems and returned via the jump gate into New York. It just seem like I can`t go to Texas via the jump gate.
Also one last thing I started the game a fresh without OpenSP running and did`nt talk to Juni in bar but when I access the jobs board it say I already have a mission, but when I check the Nav map nothing shows up. So I then talked to Juni and did the first mission and I now have access to the jobs on the jod board, but Juni keeps asking me to return to Manhatten and after every job I take the nav map set Manhatten as a way point.

So how do I start a fresh game without having to do the first mission to get access to the jobs board and not have Juni keep asking me to return to Manhatten. Also my profile say that to progress to the next level I need to do the next mission, but I don`t want to do the story line to progress.

Then dont use the jump gate for now. As for missions start new game delete savegames flying around a bit and dont talk to Juni because it will start the main plot. Btw you dont need levels(well I havent) to play the game. And yes you can do missions without talking to Juni.

I'm having problems with the Texas jumpgate too, ctd of course

it can occur as soon as I enter the trade lane, or get partway down the trade lane, or at the gate even if I avoided the trade lane. As I'm freightering a jump hole crawling with hostiles isn't much of an alternative.

Other than that annoyance, I'm really enjoying the mod! One of the best I've played so far and it's got me to put FL back on me machine after nearly 8 months.

I regret to say that I've been unable to duplicate the problem.
The last time I had the Texas TL/JG CTD was back when I'd substituted the Nomad Fighter with the Steltek Drone.

Something you might try:
Delete the "Ships" folder.
And then start a new game.
You'll end up with the original FL ships, but it would help isolate the problem.
If you still get the CTD, then it's not due to the ships, anymore.
If it goes away, then, at least, I'll know where to look, and what to look at.

Hi Warzog.

You say try deleteing the ships folder were do I delete the ships folder from. From the freelancer folder or from the Privateer folder. If from the the Privateer folder I take it, it needs to be deleted before the MOD is activated.

I just tried to get to Texas via th jumphole in the Badlands; when i got to with in 10K of the j-hole I ctd-d Suppose I'll have to go the long way round..

Personally I blame Sir Spectre. It must be his fault somehow

..how I dearly wish I was not here..

hi i'm a newb at all this can you tell me if i can stop the Shields regen on the NPC's and all i want is the new ship's /wep.s/trade items will all but the way the enemy does when they attack. can't stand that and is there something i can do to stop them from using mines

I've never had problems with the texas jump hole or the texas jump gate from the NY system. I havent had any problems with any systems for that matter.

I played this mod on both a fresh clean install of FreeLancer as well as the upgraded 1.3SDK. In both instances I havent CTD'd. I havent tried it with the 1.1 official patch, but thats only needed for running a server.

I can't isolate the problem either that you guys are having.. If I were you, Id put heads together and start comparing hardware specs.

Yepper! Delete it from the Privateer folder, and then activate the mod.

To stop the fast shield regeneration: Delete the ST_Equip.ini file in the Privateer's Equipment folder.
To change the NPC's AI: Delete the Pilots_Story.ini file in the Privateer's Missions folder.
To stop the NPC's from using mines: edit the Loadouts.ini file in the Privateer's Ship folder.
Change "cargo = mine02_mark05_ammo, 10" to "cargo = mine02_mark05_ammo, 0"

funny, I like the fast shield regeneration and the use of mines, the mod's a real challenge compared to the breeze of the vanilla game.

back to feedback Texas jumpgate and jumphole are ctd-ing from the Texas side as well. Jumpgate everytime without fail, jumphole 50/50.

warzog, did anything I sent you (aside from the Orion) work as advertised? I'd tried to fix the Talon and the Demon. They work fine on my machine, but as of last report, you said that they acted like some sort of 'DirectX Virus' or somesuch.

Yepper!
The Orion was the only one to work.
Or, I should say, The only one to work without causing a CTD.
The Demon caused CTD's as soon as I started the mod and tried to launch.
The Talon's caused CTD's after a couple of encounters with them.
Flspew.txt reported a DirectX error.
The Talon's, in particular, made FL so unstable, I had to uninstall it, and reinstall.
It also messed up the FLMM to the point that it, in turn, modified the mod.
I had to reinstall FLMM, delete the mod, and restore a backup.
I have no proof of it...
But I'm beginning to suspect that the Orion may be causing the Texas TL CTD reported above.
Until someone who experiences that bug, and gets it to stop, I won't know.
Since the Talon and Demon cause DirectX errors, it's reasonable to suspect that the Orion may be also.
BUT!!!
The one in the Orion may only be affecting low-end machines.
However...
Until I have proof of it...
The Orion's staying in, as is.

Well sheet! This DirectX error, is it like the one that you experienced during one of the earlier releases, because I think I got the Talons and the Orion from the 2.3 release. My game runs fine though...with the models in place as I gave them to you.. I just don't get it. (which is the story of my life apparently)

I just downloaded the mod...and I know its working b/c my old bee looking ship has been replaced....The problem i'm having is the stupid race with Horvis. I can't beat him....if I double the speed I just blast past the rings(cant turn quickly with my mouse).......I've tried declining racing him and leaving the base but the mission indicator keeps sending me back to him.

I've now raced him about a dozen times and can't get past it.....and ideas?

I think this CTD that comes up in Norfolk>Texas trade lane and at jumpgate has something to do with Liberty Rogues who fly daggers there.

I think this problem was solved you just do the race, but if it wont work use Hovis Hack(that means start a new game).
