Freelance RB 3.30 bug reports, comments and tips thread
Here you can find news, get help and comment about the ?FL Rebalance Mod? for Freelancer
ill try... i just reformatted so it would probably take a while. What's with the Leviathan Warclass Balistner? When i switch to turret view the camera's inside the hull... i can still see though... by the way are you still part of the "Freelancer the Next Generation" Team? Is there such a thing? And where can i get the modding software for freelancer?
Well, actually i'm a newbie at REBALANCE, my friend downloaded it for me. The version i think was 3.0 or something. I'll just check it later. What the hell are laser-torpedoes? i can't get the patches because my pc's not "connected" (what a dweeb, huh?).
To the REBALANCE team:
Are you the guys who worked on the "The next generation?"?
is there a ship database for all rebalance ships?
I would like to know if a nomad ship can be purchased...furthermore, why doesn't the balistner have countermeasure and mine slots? Does this difference make it inferior to the Damocles Battlecruiser?

the torpedo lasers i like mianly because i like lasers instead of plasma and everything els (other then torpedos) so thats probly why i like them. there buyable at the prison station in alaska, think you can get in there threw calorado if i remember right.
the balsternier (sorry on typ-o) i think is one of the biggest ships in the game and most powerfull, so the cam is in the ship probly due to the size of it. personly i think its better cus you get a better bearing on the shots when you fire them.
i dont think the nomad ships can be bought yet sorry, iam not sure if this is correct on the balstierner eather tho. however iam asking this question to since iam curiuse now, does it not have them because of the size and how much fire power it packs?
and here is one for all of you - why in the world did god make ladys so dang complicated? i mean, i am not sure if my gf loves me like she says she does, sorry. just got alot on my mind right now.

reply on women, ya don't have to be quiet to hunt berries n roots. that leaves room to talk, then to bicker, then to get weird in the head trying to figure out all the angles to out bicker the other. they simply had too much time on their hands during the process of evolution. that's why they're so complicated.
oh well, cant live with them cant live with out them. no offince to any of you wemon eather out there. also when is this mod supose to be out? lol i wanna get my raven claw and blow stuff up lol. also iam about as antsy as a mound of ants for this thing to get out, probly be the only thing to pull me from talking to my girl friend.

Is the lightspeed trick a bug?
I mean when you press engine kill in single engine ships, you retain your current speed... but in multi engined ships you accelerate... plus the cloaking system, how do i get it.... spoiler alert?

Ok, I dunno when the Mod's gonna make it out. Just thought I'd let you know right off the bat.

If you're using Rebalance 3.40 then there are a couple of patches that can fix a couple bugs with it. If you're able, try to download the Rebalance 3.4 Patch 2.1, that should help with some things (I forget what though). If you're feeling brave, and are willing to check out a beta version, there's always the option to switch to Rebalance 3.5 beta3, but that's up to you and your internet access limitations.
Regarding the Balistner, there are no mine slots, I guess, because it's a battleship, and they're not really intended to run from a fight. They're intended to blow the bejeezus out of everything in the vicinity
And just as a sidenote, the Damocles is my personal favorite of the ultra-large battleships, and the Tempest and Javelin are my favorites of the not-so-huge capships. Then there's my Nightshade 2 (in the Rebal 3.5 beta3), I've uploaded a fixed version for release with the full version of 3.5, also there's the Wrath, meant as a Nomad slayer.
Also, to my knowledge, which I think by now is pretty decent, there are no pilotable Nomad ships in the game right now, but maybe I or Ro9ue will see about some pilotable ships to help alleviate that, just don't expect anyone else in the Sirius sector to be too happy with you if you're friendly enough with the Nomads to be purchasing their ships
In the current beta3 I've noticed a few faction bugs where you can actually become friendly with the Nomads by killing certain groups... Once I know a bit more about how to setup up factions, I'm going to suggest making that impossible. Reason being is that the Nomads aren't friendly with anyone, other than one or two of the new factions that Ro9ue has added to the 3.5 final, so they shouldn't be affected by what any of the others think of you. In essence, if you want to get friendly with them, you'd better not attack them, or go get friendly with their associated faction. But then... Who'd wanna get friendly with a group that wants the genocide of Humanity?
Ok, btw Elreicht, your configuration for your ship sounds decent, though I'd switch out those battleship weapons for something a bit less energy intensive You may as well get used to using normal weapons, because using capship weapon on fighters is going to be just about impossible in the final version of Rebalance 3.5. Just a heads up A loadout that I like (if you upgrade to the beta3), is a nightshade mk II with a loadout of klingon disruptors and disruptor turrets, plus quantum torpedos. But watch out for friendly ships, they really don't like being in the overspray of the torpedos. Matter of fact they can get downright hostile about it. I guarantee that you'll be able to take on any ship with that loadout, as long as you keep moving. Incidentally, I'm planning to provide a new CMP and shiparch.ini entry for the nightshade mk II, that will bring it up to spec (how I intended it to be initially), I may also provide a seperate DLL containing updated infocard data, I'll have to look into that. Failing that part, I'll just do it another way, as a small addon mod. This depends on how soon Rebal 3.5 final is released, of course. If it's released soon, then there's no need for the ship mod.

For the record, I can find no realistic way to implement any kind of player usable cloaking tech, so it isn't gonna happen. Also these forums strongly discourage talking about cloaking. Don't ask me why, but those are the rules.
I admit that it would be fun, but it isn't going to happen in the forseeable future in Rebalance.

if you get the wrath in beta 3 ele. get two assasion missles two quantom torpedos and 2 nomad disrupters along with two lasers, also add in an AAA turret, may need a new reactor but dang. you can take out an entire fleet if you fire and hit the right spot. do agree have to watch out...friendly fire your people dont like to well...
