Thanx Cibi, lukr and tylium for taking care of the answers, i was too busy working on the new models to even check this thread.
riverless, the new style of docking was necessary for the mod in its whole since it's uses capships. The secret of makin the docking scene visible is to set the docking distance for berths in solararch.ini bak to it's default values(40 or 60 I think). as in here:
change this
docking_sphere=berth, HpDockMountA, 800, Sc_open dock1
docking_sphere=berth, HpDockMountB, 800, Sc_open dock2
docking_sphere=berth, HpDockMountC, 800, Sc_open dock3
docking_sphere=berth, HpDockMountD, 800, Sc_open dock4

back to this:

docking_sphere=berth, HpDockMountA, 5, Sc_open dock1
docking_sphere=berth, HpDockMountB, 5, Sc_open dock2
docking_sphere=berth, HpDockMountC, 5, Sc_open dock3
docking_sphere=berth, HpDockMountD, 5, Sc_open dock4
default values here varied between 2.5 for small stations to 10 for large ones or planets, most vcommon values being 2, 2.5, 4.5, 5 and 10.

so edit the solararch and revert these values to defaults for all stations and planets dock rings to regain the docking sequence.

I'm also working of finding better surface files for the SW models, already the Ywing is much more vulnerbale to guns, and the Firespray as well.

From Chibi's reply about my server on Pg 2...

No I do not block out people from going to EA, just ask that you not fight there. EA is an essential part of the mod and everyone needs to go there to trade or buy ships/weps.

I have found out that if people run and and run out...No problems (other day I had 5 people flying in EA and no crashes)...If they want to do fleet battles, I ask that they do them at Malta, Crete or Freeport 9 since fighting there does not crash the server.

Other than that...Love the mod and cannot wait until 3.4...When will it be released?

Chibi...Love the idea of having a dedicated server...Simalar to you, I have the same issue. While hosting, if I play, I add 3-4 ms of lag...I started hosting so I can play when I want to, now if 4 or more log in, I have to log out to keep the lag down...Ummm, kinda defeats the purpose of playing whenever I want...lol. Oh, by the way, doesn't matter if I connect through LAN or Internet.

Ya, really sux The only way around it I geuss it to get like a 3 gig proccesser and maybe install the game 2 times using one for play... then the second installl in a seperate directory, just install server only files. Maybe then it would be possible. So your hard disk isnt pulling the same files out using them in more than one instance. Not sure though. But if you keep it up atleast someone may appreciate it that they have a lag free server that is more stable as well. had I started one I would decrease the traffic in all those areas as this is server side and if you change it it should change it for all of the players. If you backpedal through post they already gave instructions on how to do this.

the mod is good, but there are too many cap ships in the EFA system. My computer lags trying to render that many ships. Also, could you make the files to make the mod work with ISFO?

Mod is looking good. I still am having server crashes in the EFA ssytem, almost seems to be related to all the fighting, since I or anyone else wasn't doing anything at the time of the crash, but since putting in the sdk pack for this version, it is alot better. I do have a question. When I used the Mod manager either beta 9 or 10 to install the general+dagger fix. It doesn't say anything about overwritting files like mentioned in the instructions on lancersreactors. I did the main Mod first then Installed the gen+dagger fix, then activated the main mod then the fix, got a warning about there being a conflit, but no overwrite warning, any ideas if the fix my be even working write since it did not mention an overwrite request,thanks.

Ioncross is working, but lots of systems/stuffs/ships are missing.
im adding some systems and ships to the ioncross files, but EA planets are not compatibile with Ioncross, only Jupiter Station is working...


Zods-> check the files in your FL directories you are the only one, who can see that

Millenium Falcon issues... How do i take any falcon whoever made one for Freelancer and make it playable in SP? i do have one that is playable in SP by Free Spirit only thing odd is i only see the thruster and the ship is invisible in any Planet i land or take off.. It's odd.. I only can see my ship in outer space.. Any idea why?.. I really want the other Falcons in SP instead of this one cuz i hate the color.. How do i fix this? help?

If you download the patch, and you have the Freelancer Mod Manager v1.21, you should be able to double-click the patch from the folder into which you saved it.
It will then appear in the FLMM screen; it will be red (in conflict with FLRebalance v3.30), but tell FLMM to activate it by clicking patch and 'Activate mod' button. It's red b/c it writes over/"patches" the files in the Mod -- it's supposed to be red.
Then run FL, and it should be patched.

great mod! thx for all the hard work u've put into it. Altho there are a few things i would have done differently.. especially the ships.. like each base has 3 ships which is great.. but.. it should have some kinda symetry.

for example every base should have a frieghter listed even if its just the stock standard regional version, then a light/heavy fighter unique to the base, along with either a very heavy fighter or a capital ship.

Secondly the ships should be placed in some kinda order based on thier price. Liberty space should have the cheapest ships, coz theoritically a cheap ship is not gonna have the best stats, and u don't need great stats against the criminals. You want a challenge, not a cake walk. An example.. if u wanted to upgrade to a heavy fighter in liberty and then a very heavy fighter, then there is only one major choice.. the heavy fighter at pittsburgh for 112k, then the gtb medusa @ missouri for 550k. so u've upgraded and u fly to the next area of difficulty(based on the sp campagin) which is bretonia.. u get there and realise.. hell, if i'd known the ships were so cheap here, i'd have come here first instead of dicking around in liberty trying to raise the cash for the gtb. So in essence, the sirius sector should have a rising scale of difficulty, which it does, but the ships don't match that difficulty.

when i land at manhatten.. i wanna see the liberty dreadnought for sale.. i wanna drool and scheme and connive and hatch dark plots to raise the cash to purchase such a ship. I wonder if when we scan a ship it can have in fine print "made in wherever", so that we can have some idea of where we might find such a ship.. a prime example is the trains.. where the hell do ya buy them? if i scan it.. i see its carrying bucketloads of goodies.. but nothing to say where it was made.

Has anybody tried to mod the missions? why can't it give trade missions along with escorts? surely its not that hard.. take product X from A to B, we'll suply a wing of escorts.. or stay frosty out there, we can't spare any escorts.

Has anybody tried to mod the rumours? I'd like to see rumours like "i've heard tell of a jumphole in dublin that leads to the minbari empire, some say its in x,y, and some say its in xx,yy"

some bugs i've noticed along the way:

* gtb medusa.. invisible + and ship lands 6 foot under the landing pad
* deathscythe can't complete mission 5 with it. traded for a tie defender and had no probs. deathscythe would crash to desktop for unknown reasons at various bases, and would continue to crash every time u reloaded the autosave or any other save that was made at the same point. great ship.. but pain in ass when u forgot to save and keep seperate saves just in case it locks up.
* rhienland gunboat for 2.5mill.. what a waste of money!! freakin ell. the forward gun is not listed unless u trade the ship in and its listed after your purchase as an extra gun to sell coz it can't be attached to another capship. Was running 3 warhammers on the gunboat but none of them would shoot. bought 7 firekiss turrets.. thought the ship was a total lemon until i realised what was happening with the firekisses.. ship is still a lemon.. guns are fantastic and overpowered.. firekiss turrets have homing lasers??? lol.. with 7 of them don't even need to aim directly at the cross hair.. just sorta point the crosshair ahead of the targets trajectory and the homing lasers will seek out the target and destroy with approx 3.5k damage per hit(total of 7 kisses). when in turret view the main forward gun shoots even when your aiming behind your ship.. so i've set the waypoint and jumped into turret view and i'm pummelling targets.. only i'm also pummelling any target that happens to be docking with a trade gate coz my forward gun is still shooting.. so by the time i've reached the trade gate.. i've killed it.. lmao. using the same gunboat i docked with the minbari police base station in orbit around that planet whatever its called. fine no probs.. i dock ok, but can't exit.. only way to exit is to keep shooting while still stuck in the docking bay.. which eventually blows up the whole station.. and miraculously i don't even suffer a scratch except that all the local cops want my head on a platter. but freak!! its 30+k tothe trade lane.. luckily i had those firekisses and so was able to kill the 50 odd corsairs and minbari police before finally reaching the trade lane.
* nial empire.. traded for 2nd most expensive cap ship.. my god who designed the steering on that thing?!! if u turn to the right for example u have to move to the right then make a hard left for it to continue turning to the right .. reminds me of independance day when they had the steering instructions upside down. redocked asap and traded for the most expensive ship
nial and minbari empires wouldn't let me get a job, and nobody in pub/store to bribe to become friendlier in the hope that maybe i can get a job if i was maybe on more friendlier terms so that maybe i could raise enough to buy that white star cruiser

anyway.. looks like i've written a novel..lol

thx for taking the time to create this mod.. my friends and i play once a week, and we're having a lotta fun, and i hope u appreciate the feedback..

I can only comment on one thing there right now. It is possible to mod rumours. Get a copy of fled-ids from the download section, then look the rumours up in MISSIONS\mbases.ini. fled-ids is very simple to use.

Another thing - dunno if someone's already mentioned it. Ships like the Tempest have enough weapons that firing them all simultaneously crashes the game. But to deactivate them you have to scroll down a huge weapons list.

darkstone... are you sure of this..? I have flown tempest, democles, whitestar, javalin, and the leviathan (which has almost three times the weapons of a relatively weak tempest) and among these ships I have never seen firng many weapons crash freelancer...? Although the leviathan cannot fire all weapons even with the max energy supply settings if you have all good weapons. But it fires about twice as many as the tempest on average and never yet have I seen what you speak of...? But going down the list sucks I geuss, but just set weapon groups so you can quickly choose the weapons you would use for different situations. Thats the best solution I can give you for configuring your weapons.
