First off, thanks to MD and everyone else for this great mod that has brought life back to this game for me. Second, I have a dedicated server running this mod and you can connect to it at 24.231.137.2:2300, or look for the name WWW.FIREKNIVES.NET FLReBalance. If you guys also need another link for downloading this mod, you can go to my site http://www.fireknives.net and get the whole package with the mod, mod patches, mod manager, sdk, etc; from the download section. I've also reduced the percentage of the encounters in some of the new areas to reduce the lag and server crashes. Hopefully with these reduced, it will be up 24/7. (I try to keep it up 24/7, but sometimes it locks the server up from these crashes, and I'm still testing to see if this is fixed) I use the server manager also to help in keeping it up if it crashes, and to refresh the server after 24 hours.

Neo I have seen your server and not played simply because no ones been there.. but by you advertising this info here.. maybe it will pick up.. I'll check it out for sure. But, the encounter ratio changing is a great idea (especially in EFA) and should that fix the stability that would make you the number one server for rebalance 3.30 right now because there is no stable rebalance server so far. Also, there's anew server called Ulta's Place Mod 3.3 that's pretty good; I haven't had any problems with it, and the admin is pretty cool

Ceath Scyther Turret Hardpoint is fuggeres, it only has lvl 9 weapons, when it said it could have lvl 10's.

And I'm stuck at cadiz because whenever I exit the game crashes now.

Hi,

great job putting together all these individual mods into one neat package. I've only just started playing, but I've noticed a lot of infocard errors ranging from typos to incorrect information.

I've tried using fleds-ids to edit infocard.dll descriptions, but the custom weapon ids keep showing up as invalid (regular FL weapons show up fine).

I won't nitpick on typos here, but incorrect weapon information is an issue. E.g. The Poison driver displays 48 hull/24 shield damage in game, but it appears to do 48/0 in the ini (I'm assuming I'm looking at the correct weapon, but I can't verify by ids because of the aforementioned problem). Of course, I didn't know this until I was creamed by a bunch of lousy Rogues in mission 2 when I first tested the weapon...

I know FL likes to display shield damage as 1/2 of hull damage, but if I could edit the text description of the weapon, this would be less of a problem.

Should I use another tool? Look at another infocard?

Well, Poisons DO damage shields- i don't know if it's 24 per shot, but both kinds of Mass Drivers do some shield damage (Toxins, too; haven't gotten any Venoms yet, but CANNOT wait!). I would recommend 1 Adv. Stunpulse + 3 Poisons for basic first loadout (on the Starblazer); have 1 firing group as the stunpulse, the 2nd group the Poisons (so your lead indicator doesn't get messed up), and 3rd group all weapons for close range. This works superbly
And as for editing - sorry, I'm no help there

Ultras Place is problem free indeed.. but thats beacuse the admin blocked of EFA. Smart thinking because thats the system that causes problems.. but unfortunatley that cancels out most of the mods best ships and weapons.. so I for one will not play for that reason.. is it better to be unstable or unable to build to the top.. its only a matter of opinion really. But My way of playing sends me straight to EFA in a new character in a patriot.. which is not possible at that server. So really the best thing now is to just wait for MD to finish 3.4 and hopefully the bugs will be gone in the next version. Live and learn right!?

Because the story missions stop roling at level 4.

Thanx NEO for hosting a RB server. I know the servers crashes quite often in MP unfortunately, but i'm working to fix the issues in EFA such as the commodity errors and too high ships density in planets areas. Hopefully this will stop the servers from crashing.
Superchan, the issue with the poison, toxins and other mass drivers are that they're coded not to do much shield damage. The default shield damage is indeed half of the hull damage so the ids's is NOT wrong. when you got 48/0 in weapons_equip.ini FL takes the default 0.5 shield damage and this is diplayed and used automatically in the game for that weapon. BUT, the mass drivers are a special weapons type that is coded in weaponsmoddb file to do almost null shield damage, here's the code for that:

so you see that's the cause why mass drivers do very little shield damage, not that 0 from weapons_equip.ini.
psychoscyte, the mod works in SP campaign with or without the patch, there's no reason to stop at level 4. I tested both versions and work perfectly in SP. Have you done a fresh install after starting the SP campaign? If you did re-install FL and the mod with FLMM 1.2 b10 everything should go smoothly. And pls do not use old versions savegames with RB 3.30, this will certainly cause weird errors.

the trade lane in the EFA says it goes to california and so does the jump gate but when u take it you go to texas is this a new bug or is it just me

HI ITS THE BEST MOD I EVER SEEN!!!
Thanx all the developers who caused me so much sleepless hour!

Im running a rebalance 330 mod server on my pc.
Maybe it would be useful, if i sharing my experiences and commnts:
- SW ships are very nice please dont remove any of them
- SW ships problems are mentioned here like some of them too small especially the Blockade Runner I think it should be 5-10times bigger. or hard to hit Firespray or falcon
-Startrek ships are too small (im not a startreck fun but they are nice)
- EA, Omicron, massive Space fleet battles causing very big load to the servers
the opposite fractions sh be less in ships in the same system, but more deadly loadouts. (i think that can increase the stability of rebalance servers greatly)
- Light Mass Drivers are too good and very easy to own it for a very low price
the armor dmg is deadly but nearly 0 shield dmg but the description shows different.
- Nobody will use Heavy Mass Drivers with its stats
- Gallofree with SFS turrets (i think the best LVL5), adv thusters, 2 shields and upgrades, adv cm crashing the server if u would like to leave Planet Houston.
I had to unmount all i could
-Gallofree is too cheap i think its worth 2M$
-Centurion in London BSHIP has 200-250 cargo but the infocard shows 30-50
this 250 cargo is too big for such a ship.
-The new systems Minrabi, Nial is nearly empty
-The 2 shields (~30000/1500) are too strong maybe the best shields in crete is enough for a good pilot
-I hated the cluster missiles in 320 i dreamed about such cluters as in 330!!! Great job.
-Maybe better pilots in the outer systems would be a good thing, i dont like to beat 20 Bwing with a Sabre XR cause they are just flying around and dont really use their crap weapons
-I have a strange server window freeze (mosty causing too big server load, EA space battles) The window is freezed but the uptime counter is counting the secs
Ioncross thinks the server is running but all the players are lost the connection...
If I going to see the server news or accounts the window is fully freezes (i get the not responding status in taskman) the only way to restart the server is
manual method (end task, start it again) IONCROSS worth nothing in that case
I have a bad feeling about this crash. I mean its the cause of nearly all the rebal servers are hanging off cause ion wont restart it an the admin cant check the server in every 20 mins ((
-maybe infocard fixes. i like to reading though the things
-planet info updates
-my fav ships> Colonial Viper (LF not the MediumF), Tempest, Sabre/XR, Dagger/XR, all the SW ships, Centurion from London, and there are still lot of ship ill try
-The New Vector class capships is a great idea but id like to drive the official capships too ))
