One of my mods doesen't work because it needs a newer version of FLMM.I currently have version 1.3 and my mod needs version 2.0.I can't find a newer version than 1.3.
Nope!
That's just info, has nothing to do with anything.
Originally, it was put there to let players know which version of FLMM the mod would work with.
(Back in the days when a new version came out every few weeks.)
Lately, it's been used to identify the version of the mod.
I always keep my mods compatible with v1.21 of FLMM, but Lancer's Reactor has listed several of my mods as being v1.21!
As to your problem...
Look at the mod's directory...
It should be:
\FLMM\Mods\Mod Name\Data\sub-folders.
Sometimes, I've been guilty of this myself, when a mod is zipped up, the "DATA" folder will be missing.
(This will cause your error.)
If that's the case, create the "DATA" folder under the Mod's main folder, and then move the sub-folders into it.
That should resolve the problem.

I came across an odd little error recently...
"Error: Unable to find dest 'movie_file = movies\MGS_Logo_Final.wmv\nmovie_file = movies\DA_Logo_Final.wmv'(...) in 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\exe\freelancer.ini'"
At a guess, I suspect that it was caused by a mod which disabled opening movies. One which didn't uninstall cleanly. One which goes by the name of 'Discovery Mod v4.79'.
Edit: Error fixed. The offending lines of text were merely commented out. Restoring the effected lines of code allowed the mod to install correctly.
