New Player, Trying to customize FLServer

Hey, I'm new to the game, I installed it a month ago, played though it, and now got my brother hooked. I setup a server for us to play together, and we can both connect, but I want to know is there a way to make the server allow us to use the current character from our single player game on my server? I don't want to have to start all over in saving up money to get stuff when I already have the ship and outfits I want in the single player game. Is that possible?

there is a thread currently addressing this very issue you speak of.
It is currently being investigated and I hope the outcome is promising.
I remember addressing this particular issue before somewhere else quite a long time ago it seems..BUT..
perhaps this time, we'll get somewhere with it.

I remember adding some comments into that thread myself. But for the life of me, I'd swear it has dissappeared. I honestly cannot find it either. If and when I do find it, I'll post a link to it.
In the meantime, keep looking.

Here is a link where I've noticed the person who initially posted the subject..
As I feared, the subject WAS moved..AND
It seems the entire subjet itself is GONE now and only the original post is left.

if all else fails you can get the Ioncross Freelancer Server Operator and use it to change the info on your multiplayer game so that it will match what you have in single player
