web browser

ok it's not hardware but it's computer related. anyway late last night i went to open firefox, nothing happens, usually firefox opens after about two seconds I’ve tried re-installing and updating it still won't open, it's shows up as a process but the app itself will not start , i tried it in my second (non-internet) user account it works fine, i did install the site advisor plug-in last night, i think it fried firefox. what i need to know is, if there is a way to remove the plug-in if the program won't work. granted i do have other browsers but i don't like them as much as firefox. any help would be nice

Presuming you have Win XP, I would go back to a restore point before you installed the plugin, and try the restore. The computers tend to make a quick point daily tbefore a program is installed. It doesn't work all the time, but it is an option. Also, for future use, always make a restore point on program installs, so that if it goes haywire, you can get rid of it easyly.

thanks final, that fixed it, system restore is always a last resort for me i don't trust it very much, last time i used it, it blasted my copy of milkshape and AVG (that made me mad to say the least) and they were installed long before the restore point was made, long story short it messed up more that it fixed, it seemed to work this time though but i still have to check the rest of my programs yet.
