well now, getting rid of IE is one of the hardest things you'll ever attempt, and personally I wouldn't even consider it, the browser is so tied in with the o/s and the .Net framework.
can you be more specific about what it's telling you to do? are you getting any error messages? and if you're using Firefox, why is IE even an issue? why do you *need* to delete and reinstall IE?
tbh you might as well just reinstall Windows itself, getting rid of IE on it's own is, for most people, almost impossible. I'm not saying it can't be done, but unless there's a really good reason, and no alternative, it's best not to even try, or you'll prob completely trash Windows and end up having to reinstall the whole lot anyway having done more damage than if you'd just done a repair install in the first place.
