Is there a possibility to create my own space station in Freelancer?

Simple answer is yes,its called modding,check the editting forums for tutorials on everything from changing the start ship to creating a whole universe.

Thanks for your reply, but I have one question still.
How I and my friends can change faction in multiplayer?
It's us three and even as we will group we are still in Navy faction, so how we can change faction or create our faction? Is it at all possible?
