Need help

ok ... i am working on a Star Trek mod (one of the first REAL large ones)
now i got ship models from a site(asked permission and was granted)
,but ... they are quite alot ... i could use some help to build some ships
bcus making 230 ships aint is a nice thing to do in 3 months time :-S

Hey - Go figure! I'm making a ST mod too!
Perhaps we could work together. (I can only mod in my free time, but I use all my free time to do it)

Could you post a list of the ship models you have, and are they already exported?

i think we could work together yes ...
i can get about 2000 different Star Trek models for you if u want(and an importer for MS3D)

about the systems ... i edited Alaska, made BS encounters in NY, changed Manhattan, New Base in NY, Nomad Outpost in Alaska, BORG system etc.

i got 10 new bases ... (CMP+SUR+MAT Format) etc. etc.

(ps. about the weps ... i only got a BORG/ADMIN gun, And i made ALL Engines/Scanners/Tractor Beams for sale+ an own engine)

Sounds great! Just send me the .cmp's, .surs, and mats and I can code the ship for you. (I will need to know how many hardpoints it has, i.e. torps, weps, turrets, and how many exhausts it has)

I have MS3D v 1.78, and the importer doesn't work I think...

I can do almost anything for coding, and I also do ids_names and infocards. (I have found that having GENERATESTRRES doesn't always work)

P.S. If I can get the importer to work (I haven't tried yet) You can just send me the models.

Anyway, this sounds really cool!I look forward to working on it with you!

Got a Scimitar here almost complete that u can use,also a modded Defiant and i'm currently working on a Valkryie fighter plus loads more

Yeah, I saw your pic of the scimitar. It is one of the best models I have ever seen. Thx.

I guess didn't list the Defiant, but I already have one.

EDIT: I also have the Constitution class and a whole bunch of other ships that I didn't bother to import cause they weren't canon, i.e. borg pyramid, Klingon Norexant (I actually don't know what it is), etc. I also am still in the process of adding things like Romulan Raven.

Anyway, the scimitar sounds great, thanks for the help!

the hardest thing for me is make the textures work
and ehm Xen if u can do the ships i can make weps etc(thats where i am good in)

Um...I'm no good at texturing, but I can code ships, systems, encounters, factionprops, npc ships+loadouts, equipment, etc (I can pretty much code anything you want)

Weps:
I already have:
Phaser Lvl 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12
Pulse Phaser Lvl 2, 4
Phaser Turret Lvl 10
Pulse Phaser Turret Lvl 2, 4
Green "KD5" Disruptor (For klingons and romulans)
Cardassian Phaser + Turret
Dominion Polaron Cannon + Turret
Antimatter Cannon (makes an "antimatter spread" from Best of Both Worlds II)
Proton Torp
Micro Proton Torp
Quantum Torp Light
Quantum Torp Heavy
Transphasic Torp
Borg Turret
Borg Cannon

Most of these have their own effects too.

@phoenix: Could you post an image of the Defiant you have?

I've made it smaller than usual and is quite quick,fighter speed really.

Btw,what is it with textures u need doing?creating new ones or altering ones u have for exsisting models to use with FL

@pheonix: Just the basic "starship" textures, similar to the one on your defiant, but more FL like - see Archedyne's ship pack for an example. I'm not sure which ships though, Locutus hasn't sent me anything yet...

@Locutus: You'll have to send me a list of the hardpoints along with the cmp's and sur's, cause CMP Importer doesn't work with v 1.78...

Just wanted to let you know...

EDIT: Nevermind, I got HardCMP. Just send the cmp's and I can get started.
