Character editing Face and body

Anybody out there who knows how you can edit the face and body of the characters in the game? I want to create a new face for trent (not using heads already in the game) and new clothes for him to.

I think that the textures for the faces and bodies are in the dfm files in the C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\DATA\CHARACTERS\BODIES folder and C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\DATA\CHARACTERS\HEADS folder, but how can i open those files so that i can edit the faces and bodies?

Any tools i need to use?

Help will be appreciated

You cannot create new models, only reskin the ones already existing.

Oh Really? Then how come Freeworlds mod has custom heads (Stormtrooper, Gungan, Calamari, Twi'lek, Darth Vader etc)?

The problem with creating/swapping heads, at least in sp game, the skeloton does not line up with the skin, and looks bad in somecases. I swapped Juni and Jacobi around and got some really weird effects like a long skin colored rod sticking out of Juni.

So how did the people behind Freeworlds do it?

Anybody know?

And if i need to retexture/reskin them, how do i do that? I saw that the bodies and heads are .DFM files. Do you need to unpack them or something?
