Odd model texturing issues.

Greeting LR, Me and my Friend have been attempting to model and create a one-ship package, we're first time modders, and first time FL compatable modelers.

We created a Ship in Truespace 4.3 and exported it to *.asc for importing reasons. however when attemping to apply a texture, only a COLOR applys in MS3D, as if only one pixel is being read. We played around for quite a while and nothing worked... I later created my own model, (GMAX, export to MD3, import in MS3D,) applied the HPs, etc, and heh, when i attempt to export as CMP THAT crashes, which sucks. so i thought, "Hey, ill go nag the uber experienced dudes at LR", so here i am, =P. If you need the models or whatever other resources just say, ill fork.

Have you tried remapping the textures in ms3d? When you don't map the textures only one solid color will appear on the ship. When you export the .cmp it crashes...That's probably the exporter you're using. I often have that problem, however, when I use a different exporter it works fine...Search around the downloads section of this site, there are lots of exporters laying around.
