Anubis model/textures request

Hello all, I am curious if anyone who has a working CMP Importer for Milkshape would be willing to snag a few files for me (my Importer crashes Milkshape, so I can't do it myself ).
If anyone is able and willing, I am interested in the Anubis' (or_elite) cmp, its destructible 3db wings/fins, and its textures.
My email is : [email protected]
I would really appreciate this from whomever can help Oh, and please let me know if you can but these files are too big to send through email or something.
Thanks so much in advance.

Hmm, ok, nevermind about that; I finally just used a different computer to get the files (or rather, the cmp into Milkshape with its textures but I'm still unsure of this below):
But now I have this question: How do I include the 3db damage files in the ship? I looked in the Anubis' cmp and saw that its 3db's and lod's are incorporated into it. In shiparch.ini, the wing 3db's say they are attached to "DpStarboardWing" (I think instead of the "Hp/Fixed..." these are "Dp/Fixed" ??? )
Can anyone give me a hand with what HP's are needed and how to put the 3db's into the cmp please? Do I just import those into Milkshape too and save them inside the cmp?
I have made ships before (that is no problem now) but I haven't really worked a lot with 3db's and these more complicated things.

Thank you for any help or ideas.

So does that mean that we don't know how to add destructible parts to custom ships? Is it only somehing that original FL coders could do?
I thought that I had heard of some people doing it, but maybe I'm wrong.

there are some tut's somewhere on the subject which I don't feel like trying to locate in the archives of TLR. For the most part I think the current ship builders just decide to leave destructable components on the side cause it's too much a hassle for something not much worth it. For excelcia we went through and removed all destructable components from the original ships so there is no more variance between the old ships and new ships for missle resistance, now the dmg a missle says it does is how much it does, and new ships don't have an advantage over the original ships.

But if you really feel like making destructable components, it is doable and the information is somewhere here, just hunt for the info lol. I think the newest cmp exporter was supposed to have some features regarding destructable components, read up on it's readme, might have something.

Hm, alright. Now that you say that, I guess you're right; it's more trouble than it's worth. But I just like the realism of wings and fins blowing off
I have the newest CMP importer, and I can import to Milkshape the 3db's that (i think) comprise the collision groups of the wings and engines, but once I have them in there (in ms3d format) I don't know how to attach them within the /cmp or convert them back to 3db.
Oh well, I was just wondering about this. Thanks for the reply.

Oh yeah, and one more thing: What is needed to make a ship's model / wireframe appear down in your left corner / scanner list? You know how you can scan a ship and get a 3D layout of it (where its weapons and equipemnt are)?
How can a custom ship have that? Or can it?
Thanks a lot

custom ships ~can't... but since your using an anubis that really isn't considered a custom ship, so you can just take the wire data from the original anubis' cmp and manually import it into your newly exported anubis so as to have the wire data... should work

Heh, well, see, I gave that a go yesterday, but there's a catch: I made my new one just a tad larger (maybe 5 to 8% larger), so I don't think the positions for the Hps and other data will match. I tried putting just the baydoors, their lod's, their Hp's, and animation in mine, but when I tried to jettison some cargo, FL crashed. So I guess that's out the door (no pun intended )
Ah, well, I won't worry about it anymore.

Thanks for your help.
