Howdy all,
I've been reading the forums for a while now, and decided to add my two cents. I've enjoyed Freelancer now for years, playing SP and MP. I believe the whole idea of the physics of the Freelancer Space Travel is that it's futuristic with inertal dampners, and other "things" to bring the ease of space travel to everyone. It's the same idea as when the automobile came about. The first people to run Automobiles were not only rich, but had to be instructed to operate it. Now almost everyone can drive.
If you're looking for a Modern Realistic Space Sim, check out the new Space Shuttle Orbiter Sim made by a fellah in the UK (I believe). Do a search for Orbiter under the search Engines, or go to
www.orbitersim.com . It's similar to MS Space Sim, but the documentation makes the travel a LOT easier. Plus there's concept ships that parallel jets-flight to make learning the Sim a LOT easier.
Just a thought.
P.S., does anyone know what happened to the folks at rebalancemod.com? Thanks.
