TNG v-2.5 Final

i'm trying to play the above as a SP with no mods whatsoever. in the first mission after i formate with the uss brandt and kill a few rouges at the jump gate to pittsburgh, uss brant stops and does not dock. i've tried many times and many minutes w/o success. please help me. how do i get out of this situation. thank you for your prompt replies.
