Strange freeze in Buying stuff Menu?

I`m getting some strange 5 second freezes in my recently-purchased game of FL.
It always happens when I`m docked on the buying, purchase screens. In actual flight, no probs at all. I`ve even reduced sound accel, but it still happening. I heard someone mention about removing certain XP sound files. Can anyone help on this?

If this happens in MP it can just be a case of server lag , if it happens in SP it sounds more like your computer not keeping up with the demands , it might be a good idea to defragment your hard disk and if you are really low on resources , close some applications you are running in the background (virus scanner for example )

I know you have to remove the refrigerator door when placing it at the curb , but then the neighbours kid would get away for sure , damn moral dillema's

I`ve 1.8 athlon with 1gig memory DDR and GF4200 128meg, swap paging file off. I would have thought this to be enough, winXP. I today reduced my sound accel to one notch from lowest, which helped a lot. It seems to happen most in the Britannia buying screens. Actually, on recollection, the stutters seem to increase the longer I play the game. I wonder if its some kind of memory leak.

More than likely its your mouse if its USB, make sure you install the mobo makers USB drivers they will help with this. This is one time the default windows mobo drivers aren't much good.
