Client Crashes When Entering Ship Dealer

The mod I am part of, I have come across a problem aand am stuck. When going tot he ship dealer, the client crashes to the desktop.

have ran the FLINISCan and checked all INI's and I get no errors. What should I be looking at to try and diagnose this problem.

Any help would be appreciated.

You could try removing the entry for the base in market_ships. If you still get problems then its the base that is the problem, otherwise its either a ship archetype or goods package that is playing up.

Do you know if the ships at the base are for sale in other locations? That would help in tracking down the problem pretty quickly.

Well, if I remove all ships for sale, you can enter the ship dealer. ALso, currently, we only have 2 bases and each base currently has unique ships for sale. I will look through the ini files again and see if anything jumps out at me.

Can you spawn in the ships using OpenSp? I usually, test them over by editing the m13 file.

So you've used FLScan (not FLINIScan - never heard of that ) on the mod, when the mod is activated right?

However, it won't pick up everything... but it should mean your package is okay. My suggestion would be to remove everything from the package apart from engine, scanner and power unit.
Have only 1 ship set to sell (your ship) and now see if it works.
If not, change the ship it's using (in the package declaration it nominates it's ship hull to use) for an existing original Freelancer one... and try again. Does it crash?
Yes - then it's your engine/scanner/power unit.
No - then it's something to do with the ship entry in the shiparch.ini or indeed, the ships hull in the goods.ini

Double check all entries for everything at that point.

See if the ships U are using have the mat cmp sur etc where they are supposed to be...the adreses are in the shiparch....i had the same problem and it was because the engines for the ships were not added corectly in the goods.ini

Ya, the first time aI sacanned the files, some of the cmps and mats were in the wrong folders, but I corrected those. I will let you guys know what I am able to find. Thanks for the input. And yes, I called the INI scanner the wrong thing. LOL
