Changing Ship purchase bases?

Hello, I was thinking - would it not make more sense to buy capships and such in places such as large shipyards? However, none of them have any shipdealers which I can use to add ships to. Anyone know how to give them a ship dealer? Thanks.

There is a tutorial on this exact thing in the tutorials section. Right off hand, I do not know the exact location of it. Try the search function.

as for the ship yards...do they already have an HpDockMount for ships to dock with or do you have to put them in?

As in a capital ship docking moor? No. Ordinary ship docking? Yes. I'm thinking I can change a light hardpoint into a docking hardpoint for capships. I've done the same thing with capship shields...

Goes back to how you want your capships to dock, if ur using the jump command then just change one of the med_moor entries to jump in solararch for the base mosel you're using, and add the can_use_jumps command to your shiparch file, and bob's your uncle.

Hmm. This is a little odd. It worked fine to switch them to another base, but if I change the system it's in, then the price drops in half :s . Anyone had this issue before, and if so, how would one fix it?
