what will happen to freelancer!

Ok, a long time ago in a galaxy close to here, there was a game called allegiance. this game was made by a company called microsoft. now this game was targeted on the multiplayer people and college game freaks. it was expected to be a very good game and very popular. the reviews and everything were good, but (for some reason unknown) when this game came out, it did horrible. the game is very good and freelancer has got a lot of its ideas from it. after a few months this game had completley stoped having its own online server on the zone. but not to long ago from now microsoft gave out the SOURCE CODE to a little web site called www.freeallegiance.org this website now gives the game out for free to anyone who wants to play. i think this is very likley what will happen to this website here!

this was discussed shortly after freelancers release, people signed petitions, spamed microsofts email and made 1000 threads about them releasing source for allegiance and that freelancer will be following. Guess what, its still not out. Allegiance did take over 3 years for the release so 1 more year for freelancer. Cmon source..

no, Freelancer Gobal Server doesn't go down til 08', so they wouldn't release the source code before they gave up the gobal server unless you had tons of people in a group working togather to get it.
I've seen people sign that petition thousands of times, most people just spam with differnt names, I've only signed it once. So it really is only at 4000 or so if you take out all the spammed names.
Microsoft hasn't even given out the source code for SL becuase the game died so fast, Should of stopped my friend from wasting his 2 dollars too. This game is really no differnt and really I don't care if the source code is released becuase all I do with the game now is mod from time to time.
It would be nice to see the game change a little, yes don't get me wrong, it would be very nice, but most people who do figure out the next "break through" keep it to themselves and use it on their server only just to get popular by the 23 people who play on the server. "woohooo now I can act like I am king for 2 extra months"

Ummm, yea, getting the source code is a nice thing to wonder about and I do hope myself that they do, but I just find it annoying that people think that 4000 will get it or spamming to Microsoft's spam blocker will help. Really, I think only time will tell as they say in POP. If ya can get a big group hooked up to get the source code, then you can count me in.
