ease of battleships moving through gates

i am tryign to fly around a extreamly large battleship and it keeps runnign into gates and tradelane rings, is there any way to turn off its clipping or make its clipping box smaller to make the movement around the universe easyer?

anyone have any ideas at all?

i jsut dont want to try and dock over and over again only to bouce off

I dont know if there is a fix for this. I have played several mods with large ships that are unable to dock with the tradelane rings. I take it as a downside of using them, but the upside is the firepower they can carry.

Well, you could copy both of their archetypes into a custom folder and rename the cmp file so the sur dosen't match. It should be the same as the docking ring fix. There is a shield link object thingy for the tradelane shield so they should still go down ok. I can't see why it wouldn't work.

phantom_physcis = on

total guess but search the forums fo that, it will make it be able to pass through everything but still take damage

Um, I don't know if that works, but if it does, its actually phantom_physics = true

Yes it does work I use it for docking rings on planets for larger ships to dock. It's pretty useful. You can just add that to the tradelanes and then any big ship will be able to use the tradelane.

that worked out great, now if i can jsut figure otu hwo to stop the spinning....
