Note: All of the above may be incomplete. I spent 35+ hours trying to make this as complete, functional, logical, and practical as I possibly can but honestly I know I'm forgetting stuff. It's 65% off the top of my head and 35% research.
Alright, now... you will need help in creating this but there is a lot of help available. It's mostly research and figuring out a set of framework standards that everyone is happy with and by everyone I mean that. There are a lot of talented people on here and most of them probably don't have time to help now but if they jump in a few months believe me when I say it will be rewarding to be able to say, “sure, here, work on this module”. And remember, once the framework is complete you'll only need to create about a quarter of these modules to actually get a functional game engine running and released. The rest of them can be patched over for now but fully added in time.
Personally, I cannot help directly until late this spring or maybe early summer. By then all of the other short term projects I'm working on will be complete so I will be able to put a fair amount of my free time into improving the different modules.
I have another 10 to 15 pages of ideas to post for the dynamic systems and stuff I said I would explain later. After that I may be able to help here and there but I really must get back to the other projects I'm working on (otherwise I'm going to have a lot of people seriously pissed off at me).
