ERROR: ArchDB::Get(2636579080) failed

This error has pagued me for a while. Ive reinstalled FL, used SDK, and cleaned out my FL folder(uninstall, then delete the folder.) Yet this problem persists.

Any ideas why? There shouldnt be a problem off a clean install, or maybe my copy is bad or something. I havent a clue.

Or, better yet, has anybody figured out what the numbers mean

the proscribed solution is to use Anton's CRC tool,build a database of the FL folder(with sdk installed)and then search that database.sadly,that method has _never_ worked for me,i think because the strings the CRC tool is caching are not broad enough.if somebody has an improved catch-all list i would be most grateful if they would post it.

it may be a native freelancer error.

It is one of your modded items causing the problem, not a stock FL item.

As Cold Void said, get the crc tool, run the database and then put the number into the decimal section and it will come up with the problem item.

The look at the settings etc for it., if you still have a problem fixing it, post the code relevant to it here and we can look at it for you

Assuming that this CRC tool isnt the CRC calculator(useless, ive found) any ideas where I can get it?

And Blackhole, it isnt a naive FL error if it crashed my game as soon as I start it.

hey, you didn't say that. And i've had an error like that, without any negative effects (the only reason i knew was because of FLspit)

Curses. Says not found. So FL is looking for something that isnt in its standard files. Uh-oh.

big f***ing uh-oh. Try in the Archetype ini's

Versoth,

Had you looked down a little you would have found a thread that deals with these type of errors,,

it seems there is sufficient need for a stickied thread on these as they are commonly asked.. It will involve a little editing to bring two or three threads together but if you guys want it I'll do it..

Btw.. it's an archetype error.. now, there are some common native freelancer ones, but I dont recognise this as one.. you need the crc database to identify it.. IF its a Freelancer item.. if not then you need to develop your own database for your own mod..
