You should be careful when it comes to cheap RAM; I learned me lesson the 'ard way (damn MSY and Samsung!). RAM is one of those things that can work well or work poorly, and you definitely get what you pay for. Anything cheaper than "Kingston" can end up causing anomalous problems such as crashes, etc that can take a long time to diagnose. Still, most people use cheap RAM and don't seem to have any problems... or so they say .

Well I have 30 days to try it out and if I don't like it I send it back for a refund of wht I paid for it. After 30 days if one or both stop working I have 1 year free replacement so I can't go wrong to much.

Ok a report on the Ram.

I have a huge performance boost on all applications.
I Run Oblivion, and Hearts of Iron 2 with out any slow downs.

I think I got a great deal and I have had it in for only 3 days but man I am shocked at the difference it made.

More RAM is always a good thing, especially if you run games at high resolutions. In any case, if you are happy, then it was a good purchase. Just keep an eye out for unusual crashes or "BSODs", etc. Just in case .

Having warranty is definitely a good thing in case something goes wrong.

Well it has been 3 weeks now and it is performing like none other. I am happy with it I will report in a few more weeks to let you know how it is working out.

This might be cheap but it may be good quility and there are a lot of positive reports on it.

I have G.Skill DDR RAM as well. I bought a dual channel kit whose rating is 2-3-3-6 from the manufacturer. It performs properly at those settings, and memtest86+ confirms this.

I´m using a 1GB Kit Kingston ValueRAM DDR-400. Triplechecked HArdware. It cost a lot, but it was worth it.

"Kingston" RAM doesn't perform as well as RAM from brands such as "Corsair" and "OCZ", etc, but I have always had good experiences with it. These days, it would be the cheapest RAM I would consider, as I have had too many problems with generic and cheap RAM such as "Samsung". Damn Samsung chips on generic PCBs *grumble*.

But Corsair RAM is very expensive.

wanta see EXPENSIVE ram. CORSAIR Dominator 2GB (2 x 1G 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1250 (PC2 10000) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail really damn fast and really damn expensive.

I'll get something like that when i build my dream computer. (But first I have to wait till i'm 16 for an job. )(I'll be 16 in november)

This is what happens when you try and dock rape. (This is not me) Noobs trying to dock rape

Corsair *is* bloody expensive (actually overpriced in my opinion), but you do get what you pay for.

Post Fri Jun 08, 2007 5:37 pm

Damn right Corsair is expensive! Bet you get what you pay for (Even though it would probably be cheaper to get PC2-9600 RAM from someone else, clock it up a bit and put an aftermarket RAM heatsink on it. I know Thermaltake has some nice ones...)

Price isn't all that surprising, honestly. I can get PC3200 DDR RAM here for about $85-126 Australian. Its probably a bit cheaper because the market is shifting away from DDR in favour of DDR2. Same thing will probably happen in a few years when DDR3 becomes more widespread.

Update: 2 months

Well still running good no problems with it, I think if it were bad, it would have shown signs by now.

I rate the Ram an 8 out of 10 reason it is not a 10 is no Heat Spreader
