video capture card..

I can't get a picture from my X-Vision XVISE1SW live-feed capture card. the camera it's attached to works, i know that cos Ive checked it on a portable display unit, the card itself seems ok, drivers installed correctly, display set right, DX9 ok, but all i get is *monitoring* with a black display. yes I've checked the connections, I'm not daft.

can't get tech support from x-vision or the distributor. anyone got any ideas?

What kind of connection are you using? USB? RCA? S-Video? Coax? In any case, it sounds more like a configuration problem at this stage. Which settings are you using?

BNC connectors I assume. Classic . Well what about the cable itself? Although it is hard to damage the core, it is theoretically possible. Do you have a cable tester?
