Well I'm finished with this game, this crashing after almost every jump to system is just too much to tolerate.

The crashing is down to your sound card, Freelancer was made before most of the current cards were even thought of.

In Freelancers options you'll find a bit for 3D sound, disable it and you should be able to play okay.
