because they cost no energy thats why, and their damage and refire rate are devent too.

the downside to nomad weapons is if you target them individualy they tend to be shot off your ship easier .

nomad weapons are awesome.

i just obtained my first nomad weapons in SP. before that i used those "unknown" weapons (GUARDIAN, WILDFIRE, PROMETHEUS etc.) which i still have at least 24 of, as they are the stongest. but after Nomading a bit in the unknown systems i have replaced all my weapons with the nomad ones. most of the "unknown" weapons are stronger, but usually only allow about 2 seconds worth of firing due to the high energy usage. with lots of nomad blasters and energy cannons it's just as strong and uses no energy at all.

so, Go nomad weapons GO!

If you do the math properly, you'll find that Nomad Cannons do the most damage, followed by Nomad Blaster. Then come the artefact guns. It is just plain wrong to only look at the damage per shot.

Download Buythenomadlaser mod from this site.. it makes the nomad laser refiring rate sweet as and they only cost 150 from any planet,base in manhatan and there only level 1 lasers with somthing like 2000 damage =)
