Mine Fields

Hey there,
I'm having a hard time navigating through mine fields and volatile gas pockets..
I decided to take a peek at Zone 21, to find an unknown Jumpgate in the middle of a mine field. I tried flying over the mines, but i found the Jumpgate to be lying 18K into the mine field. I died twice without even getting 1K closer to my goal.
I tried flying very, very slowly, but even then, I've failed miserably.
Does anyone have tips for me maybe ?
I just don't know how to dodge an 18.000 metres minefield...

I found that coming from thr trade lane side, you can find the coridor that leads to the gate. Just takes a little hunting.

Do not even think of somehow maneuvering through the Zone-21 minefield. It is not possible, the minefield is too dense. Instead, play the story and in one mission you will go there. There is only one very narrow passage. Then just remember/write down where you came from and you can return back at any time.

if you want to cheat you can try the uber shield, avalible here, just dont do it on cruise as even the uber shield gets hurt flying through it on cruise :/

"If im phased and can walk through stuff, then why am I not falling through the floor?"

@Amedeus:
I was just curious what lied behind the jumpgate, I'm getting excited while roaming freely around in space you see, that's what I love about Freelancer, you get to see and discover awesome things..
