Screen Shots/Ship views

This topic poses two questions:
1) How do you get the screenshots? Can I do this with Corel Capture?
2) I noticed in the previews there were shots showing the view from inside the cabin of the ship like those avaialbe in Wing Commander Prophecy. I prefer that view as it feels more like I'm in the pilot seat, not sitting behind the ship. Is there a way to change views in Freelancer, or was this discarded during development?

The print screen deal is, in the game, click on the Print screen key. Then open paint and then the edit screen and hit paste. The shot you took is then there. Save as a jpeg, as it is smaller in zsize than a bmap.

As to the game, some of the cocpit shots were from an earlyer version of the game, but did not make it to the final game.

Actually you can view the ship from in the cockpit. I believe Ctrl-V is the command. And you can also take normal screenshots. I believe the key is either f12 or printscreen. The shots are saved in your my pictures folder.

Ctrl-V is right. I found it on the back of the FL manual last night. And I've already made two screenshots using the Print Screen command. It copies the file to your clip board. Then you can paste it using Paint or Adobe Photoshop (or just about any other bitmap editor or graphics program I suppose).
The question now is, can I upload screenshots for the Hotshots window on TLR?

Not sure how you would upload them but you would need a file host like websots to do it. You can set up an acount here at www.webshots.com . And if you want to take multiple screen shots without having to close the game down and paste them I would suggest you find the key to take them ingame and then send them to your my pictures folder.

You dont need to paste the screenshots into paint. Freelancer automatically saves them (in cursed bitmap

). Go to your "My Pictures" folder and look for Freelancer Shots, all the screenshots should be saved in their by default. I recommend emptying it every once in a while if you take alot of screenshots, as they are about 2.25 MB each, and I play under 1024x768 res. So they are even bigger files if you play under a higher resolution.
