"Finding" Jump Holes

A lot involved in finding jump holes is knowing who hates you and who doesn't. Checking the patrol maps will 99 times out of 100 lead you to jump holes...if you know WHICH patrols to check. For me, it's pretty easy; aside from "legal" factions and the Blood Dragons, everybody -- Junkers included -- hates me. So, the hostile patrol map leads me right to every jump hole and out-of-the-way base to be found. But if you're more middle-of-the-road in the faction love/hate standings, you should also reference the neutral patrols. Don't forget as well that you have to fly across the patrol route for it to appear on your patrol map. You might have to patrol some of the navigational hazard areas yourself to pick up the patrol routes of other factions with enough resolution to find your base or jump hole.

You have to go through a jumphole for it to register and it will regyster 2, the one you entered and the one you exited.

I've only been playing a few weeks myself.

I found that, if I come to a Jump Hole that won't let me through, I can go into formation with another ship that's going through and I can get through that way.

I think I left the story behind a long time ago. LOL!
