Weapon discrepancies
I've been messing with the Star Lancer ship editor - adding guns to my Crusader, mostly - and, since I have a few PC's networked at home, I've been using the multi-player feature to test weapons.

Now the Gatling Plasma ought to be the ultimate weapon. It uses no energy (try flying a Grendal with all energy split between shields and engines. It's much faster than you'd believe and loses little of it's firepower in the process), inflicts heavy damage per hit and has a fast fire rate. So how come it takes considerably longer to destroy a stationary Reaper (my target of choice when testing weapons) using a gatling plasma than it does a collapser gun? Is the weapon data wrong?

I did some more testing, fitted a collapser gun into the nose of my Crusader and did a few tests against the Black Guard fighter in the first mission. Using a single collapser gun seemed to be more effective than just about anything else including tachyon and neutron particle cannon. Anyone hacked the game and looked at the relative damages of these weapons?
Ban REVERSE THRUST! Fly something other than a phoenix for a change!
