Ship type linked to replist
I have a question. I'm working on a mod, my first one ... I have tried many mods by others and studied on them. Some great stuff have been made by so many of you!
Question:
========
For my own mod, I want to make it so that a ship of one faction, is automaticly detected friendly, nutural or enemy, and from that automaticly resulting into action from the opponents.
Something like a rep. list for ships, instead of a replist for factions.
I meen, if you would fly IRL a Mig through American airspace or a F16 through Russian airspace, you will automaticly be considderd hostile.
Example:
-----------
Your reputation with the corsairs is good. You are exploring space and you buy
a Sabre. The moment you meet in space someone from the corsairs or is on good terms with them, they will attack your.
The Zoners (nutural) can then on differend stations in differend systems sell a ship of differend factions (LF), so you have the oppertunity to buy a ship before entering a system "ruled" by another faction.
Example:
-----------
On a Zoner station between Rheinland and the Corsair homeworld you can by
the Legionaire (or CSV - Hogosha en Junkers are friendly towards Corsairs) aswell as the Patriot.
How could this be done?
====================
I was thinking about to make a replist based on ships. So, If you fly a Centurion, Corsairs and Junkers and Hogosha (who are friendly to Corsairs) are friendly towars you. You can then do missions for them.
If you had enough of flying for them, you can buy a differend ship (on for example a Zoner station or on a station of allies / nuturals of the faction you are now flying for). With that ship purchase, your rep. list changes. Suddenly the
Corsairs (but also the junkers and Hogosha) see you as your enemy!
Then the amount of "friendlyness" changes not by results of the missions themselfs, but by who you fly for (what ship you use) and how this factions is related to the one you are "working" for. This would make you actualy "part" of a faction, till you buy another ship (of other faction) and dissapear.
And what's otherwise the use of so many differend ships? Yes, there are some differences, but it would "rock" if you have to "confirm" to the standard of a faction when you work for them... seems logical to me
So, any suggestions about how to link the purchase of a ship with the replist?
Maybe to make a ship perchase like with a bribe and then to "disconnect" missions results from changes in the replist? I don't know if besides a faction replist a ship replist would work?
I have not enough modding experience to figure this part out myself. I promise the people that help me on this are the first to try-out my mod when it's done!
Please, if someone has an idea, let me know as soon as possible. I allmost can't wait to try it out Besides posting your reply here, you can also reach me at [email protected]
Anyway... thanks for reading this, and hopefully helping me out

Ohw... just to be clear, I might life in Bulgaria, but I'm not a Bulgarian. Why would be my nickname otherwise be DaFDu (Da Flying Dutchman) ... yes, I'm from Holland. My Bulgarian isn't so good. So, just in case a Bulgarian would reply, do so in English or German. I don't think you're able to write in Dutch I know there are some Dutchies posting on this forum now and then. Then our native language will do fine
