I don't know if you have it but there is an acrobat reader doc. called Complete Freelancer Ship Editing and Creating Tutorial version 1.4 made by Drizzt4.0. This really helped me and its full of stuff thats useful. You can find it by typing in some of its name in the search box on the homepage. Also if your not an artist, somthing that really helps is to figure out what the ship looks like in your head (if you can git it on paper thats even beter), and then figure what basic shapes make up your ship and start from that.

Thank you for the info. I d/loaded the tutorial and it really helped me. I have a pretty good looking ship comin along now. So my thanks to ypu and to Drizzt for making the great tutorial.
