CMP export scaling messed up

This is a strange one. No matter what scaling down factor I enter in the window of the CMP exporter, when I look at the created CMP with the FLModelTool, the size remains the same every time.

This never happened to me before. I am using MS3D 1.7.6 and the CMP Exporter v0.3.

Ideas?

Yeah I have the same issue. I just set up my scaling in milkshape and then scale up by 92 times right before I export and it comes out perfect. Someone said something about needing to save or load a profile every time you use the expoerter to get the slider to take effect. I think my way is simpler.

@ MG, I have a copy of the pilot taken from the in game model and saved as an MS3D file, I merge this with my ship to help me scale it as the pilot is in FL scale. Once I've got my ship to the right scale I just delete the pilot and export the ship. Then all I have to do is set the scale to 1.0 and save the settings, I don't think it recognises the change in scale if you don't save the settings, besides you'll need this ces file for the SUR exporter.

**shuffles of with a new headache**

well,

Again, like Bejaymac.. I import the pilot, scale the ship around the pilot.. scale by 100.00 in 'x','y' & 'z' and its perfect .. dont use the slider.. but then again I like the older version better.. sure it wont do multiple components but if you are clever enough you can use redeye's meshconvert and some knowledge and this is possible as well.. guess I learned to do it the hard way.. had to.. to do weapons.. ships are in some respects much simpler as they dont have parts that rotate

the pliot tho..... simplicity itself... mostly, (with exceptions) ignored.. yet it so simple.. prolly too simple...

Yes, of course I could scale the model in milkshape, but that always gets really messy. Large scale models and MS3D are two things not working well together.

Anyway, I just wondered why the scaling didn't work any longer, after it had worked every time I previously exported a model.

It gets even stranger. I've scaled up a ship (that always got exported into a CMP with a radius of 0.83) by 21.7 because it would then match my desired scale in-game. But now CMP Exporter makes a CMP with a radius of 1775.4 out of it -- all the time.

This seems to occur randomly. Please help me.

EDIT: I solved it. What I did was... well, actually I have not the slightest idea what I did. But it works now. Seems to have something to do with the .ces files. If you load one of them and then change the values, the exporter still uses the original ces data.
