transparent icons

Hi there i allready tried to search this forum and coul'd not find an answer.

I am trying to change some icons in the game with utf editor and replace them with other ones.
Until this far no problems but when i saved the file it's not transparant anymore.

Does anyone know how to solve this.

Hope someone can help me with this.

have you tried saving as a 32-bit TGA? I dont kknow if that'll work, but it might be worth a try

Thnx for the help, i allready found it out.
I didn't know that i had to add an aplha layer.
