Converting .Max format into GMAX or Milkshape

I have a model created in .max format tho I have no availability towards the initial program I used anymore due to HD crash and therefor I need to get this model converted into a format wich allows me to open it in milkshape or GMAX. I would prefer GMAX but can settle with Milkshape and convert it from there into GMAX. How do I do this? I cant seem to find any way.

Thank u in advance.

Um... I thought there was a .MAX importer for MS3D... if not, then you're probably going to need to Google a bit and see whether any freeware will translate that format. Sorry, but the .MAX format, unlike .3DS, is still very proprietary to the newer versions of MAX, and is not well-supported by other modelers at this time.

Well, I'm pretty tempted, now that I've read what it will import/export... pretty nice. 40 Euros ain't bad, compared to Polytrans...

Well the problem is that I dont have 3D MAX anymore due to a HD crash. Wich renders me hopelessly looking for another way.

Thanks anyway. Another good thought.

Nilla,

Email it to me.. (the email addy in the post will find me) - I'll convert it to Milkshape or .DXF or .3DS or whatever format you want it in.. send me the textures as well.. so long as they have not been wrapped in Max they should convert as well.. tho no guarantees.. max can be odd with texture panels..

Harrier.
