Have anyone trying using Gmax with Freelancer I have not tested it yet but I hope it works it can be downloaded here http://www.turbosquid.com/gmax

I have tested with other games like Train Simulator and Flight Simulator but I dont think the games use the same file type for modelling.

I use gmax, it works well. You have to export to Quake 3D format and import that to Milkshape. You will gave to reassign textures in Milkshape then, but UV maps and groups will maintain.

IMHO, as a 3D modeller Milkshape sucks compared to gmax, the only reason we all use it here is that it's the only program with a cmp and mat exporter capability...
