Cockpit View - Modding - HELP !

First of all, hi Lancers =)

i'm tring to do my first editing of freelancer and i've got already a terrible problem

i've exported the cockpit but when i fly that's is invisibile...
and if u use the cruise speed the lower part appear on the top
but i've only merged the front part of the sabre to the sabre cockpit.. :-any idea ?

Damn
the cocpit is inverted :-when i turn on the cruise the stupid cocpit is mirrored on the Z and X axis..
i've rotated the model.. but the problem remain :'(

As what i can see... you are viewing the ship's buttom. Flip your model upside down and check it again.

i think, my problem is the poistion of the cockpit on the space..
where is the position of the camera ?
i've to do an object to specify where the camera is ? ... or the camera is on the
X:0 Y:0 Z:0 ?


a strange things... on the export CMP window i see only Group1. ? O_o
but i've 5 group


as u can see... the camera cut the cockpit and we can see only the nose of the sabre



the problem is on Exporting phase..
the first time is 76K...
when i export it the second time ('cause i've fixed the position of the cockpit)
the file is only 22KB so i think MS export only the nose of the sabre

please us FLRadius... it is in the download section... This will remove the disappearing act of models... or you can check the tutorial of Red Eye in the Tut forum about Multiple Models i think.

thnx again Sun, please be patience i'm a newbi in freelancer modding but i've 15years of exprience in 3DStudio modelling and sincerly i hate MilkShape ^_^


So, the right way to build a cockpit, is:

1) Make your model in 3DStudio, apply the Texture and collpse all in an editable mesh (be shure, editable MESH, the Poly can have a 4 vetex face, and i'm not shure that will work)

2) Export the Cockpit with MilkShape with FreelancerExport
3) Update the CMp with MilkShape Exporter Mat.

4) add the BouncingBox wit the FLaddRadius

and realy thnx 2 Sun for the help
