To pull this off in a reasonable amount of time it'll take more than two people, so don't hesitate to ask about it.

**Model suggestions/requests**
Here you can discuss building custom ships, texturing and 3D modeling in Freelancer
I was thinking about making a StarCraft Mod for Freelancer. But, I'm limited to what I can do on my computer, and its a big mod so I need help anyways. So if anybody was interested and preferably has experience(the more the better) with ships, texturing, weapons, star systems, general programing, I could give you details of my plans and we could work together. Email me at [email protected] for info.

i have searched the internet for over 3 days with no avail ... so i thought i would try my luck here ... can anyone make me or point me into the direction of a skin for the death star that can be used in milkshape ... even if its a flattend out pic of the death star ... anything that will fit perfectly around a milshape sphere ........ i am begging for your help and im at a loss for what to do ... any help or links would be supremly apreciated
Blade, you need to make a spheremap. And I sort've doubt that anybody has made a spheremap for the DS that doesn't include the DS's geometry- that funny dish-shape and the "ring" around the equator.
What you need to do is make a proper, low-poly model of the DS... use a spheremap for the main model, a planar projection for the dish, and a cylindrical map for the ring. See my Pretty Planet Project and How to Skin links on this Forum for more help with this.

The Serenity from the former TV show "Firefly" by Joss Whedon. Serenity is a Firefly-class transport ship with twin engines and a Standard Radeon Accelerator core for high speed travel between planets. Granted, you can't exactly simulate a Radeon Accelerator in Freelancer, but the twin engine setup is perfect for it. The ship itself isn't terribly large. I would say only about twice as big as a Dromedary. Cargo carrying would be pretty good, considering its a Cargo ship by nature.
The only weapon it should have is a single gun turret on the top (as portrayed in the movie "Serenity" even tho the actual ship never had any weapons.
It would still be an awesome looking ship to fly around in, and it doesn't seem too hard to model. Here's an image for those who don't know what it looks like.

I would like 3 ships for a mod I'm making:
Bretonia VHF with 6 guns (4 class 9, 2 class 10). Good armor, good speed, average turn rate.
Kusari VHF with 7 guns (3 class 9, 4 class 10). Low armor, average speed, high turn rate.
Rheinland VHF with 6 guns (2 class 8, 2 class 9, 2 class 10), and 2 class 10 turrets, which can fire forward and backward. Good armor, low speed, and average turning.
Send them to starman_omega (at) msn.com. You will, of course, be given full credit.

DAMMIT i just erased everything I wrote. I hate that stupid "clear fields" button..
Anyways, before this clear of mine, i stated that I can model simple things out, but I dont have the extreme skillz of a 1337 3d modeler, so if you could give me a basic outline or sketch as to what shape of the ships you'd like, I might be able to do something.
As for my Firefly/Serenity ship idea, I need some help bringing an abnormally shaped ship like that down to about 2000 polygons. Can anyone help?

I am looking for a Ship maker that can create the " Batwing " for me as an Interceptor class fighter. I have this Schematic and many other images I can send youto help. The Ship creator will get FULL credit for the creation as I respect other peoples work. The ship will be used as the clan ship for my clan on Colours Elite server.
