and what`re .sur & .3db files used for??
I`m creating a new mod (ship) and i don`t know if they are important or not
also i think that they are the reason of my crash.....

They are not the reason of your crash, at what point do you crash?

At the begining after the 2 intros directly

i`ve downloaded paintshop pro 8 specially for freelancer modding

please make sure that you are clicking the flip vertically and not invert colors...
red turning blue and stuff like that is caused by the invert colors command.

and for the crash try reinstating your backups.... cheifly the .dll file backups.

here is a shortcut to locate dds converters.

http://developer.nvidia.com/object/nv_t ... ols.html' Target=_Blank> NVDIA's Texture Tool Library

USAGE:
converts your textures to dds format, that means no more flipping...
just make sure you use MIPS instead of MIP0..

LAG

When you save a .tga using PPP it is defaulted to save them as compressed .tga files, which will nto work, make sure you set it to save them as uncompressed .tga in the options on the save as screen.
