Hey BoH, check out the "To Fix" directory on the FTP - uploaded the two bases, tarsus, and paradigm. See if you can figure out how to get them to work properly - I sure can't.
(BTW, as you know the textures are supposed to look weird, since they're flipped so they show up properly. Of course, you can simply flip them vertically if you want to see how they look in-game)

to fix the texture problem, open up photoshop and resave the textures in 16 bit (maybe 24 or 32 works ,too... didn't try). I tried it with the tarsus and the paradigm and it works.
btw: when i modelled the tarsus i also included a cockpit. At that time i didn't know how to make a texture transparent. Know i know ... so if you want a cockpit with a little man looking at you, just rename the "wind.tga" texture to "glass" in milkshape ...hmmmm... i think i'll add a cockpit to the galaxy and the priv 2 ships, too .
The textures for the tarsus are looking better now! good work
btw2: lvxoccvlta how's it going? gimme textures for the priv2 ships mate... i need work *no offense*

Sorry to intrude but you may have problem if you name the material just 'glass'.
It would be better if you name it 'pr_glass" or whatever strikes your fancy. Other modders have used the name 'glass' and you can have conflicts in you have different ships with similar material names.
Also you can use 24 bit tga textures but you have better results and save space if you use .dds textures. If you are using photoshop compatible software you can get the .dds export plugin in the Nvidia texture tools pack at http://developer.nvidia.com/object/nv_t ... tools.html.
DDS files are half the size of tga and you don't have to flip them before you add them to the .mat.

Hi everyone. It's been about a month since I was on here. I thought I would drop back in and see what's new.
I want to contribute more textures.. and possibly fix any that either I have done or someone else if they don't work.
Since Privateer 2 ships take place in the Tri System (and not Geminisector), is there still a demand to have them in?
Email me at [email protected] with screencaps of ships that need to be worked on. Someone will just have to say "Ok.. Here are the screencaps Do this." Because otherwise nothing will get done!
Also: In order to do good quality textures.. i need pics of the original models.. as well as screencaps of wiremeshes taken from the top, bottom, front, sides and back. At exact, perpendicular angles to the camera, please

Thanks. BTW, do you mind if I send your speeder mesh off to someone working on a WCP mod? He's shown some interesting in doing something with it.
Also, lvxoccvlta, I uploaded a five-shot view of the Demon to the FTP. Look at that if you have the chance.
