Awesome warzog, good luck, YOU ARE MY HERO!!!!!!
How do the paradigms look? Can you post screenshots when youre done? I would like to know how my textures turn out. New ones will be uploaded soon, but before that, I want to see how it appears in-game to make last minute changes if necessary.

lvxoccvlta:
I can't seem to find the Paradigm's!!!
I've created a random encounter, but it doesn't seem to be working.
Update:
Ran a test run...
Still got some CTD's in the same places.
BUT!!!
As I knew it couldn't be the gates/holes...
I tried to find anything they had in common with each other...
BINGO!!!
Three of the CTD'ing systems had Blackholes!
I removed them, and they've started working!
A few other systems were missing "encounter parameters" for several types of encounters...
I've added EVERY encounter to those systems, and they're working now.
I need to go through EVERY system and add ALL of the parameters.
(Just to be safe.)
I also need to slow down the planets in the new systems, and get the ones in the FL systems spinning again.
And...
For some strange reason, Freelancer Explorer saves "info" in a DLL, but doesn't update the System's ini file.
So, I need to hunt them down, and update those files.
And...
I still need to update the missions to reflect the Gemini Sector.
IE:
In almost every mission, there are gates & holes that get locked, or unlocked.
Many of them no longer exist.
or...
In mission 6, after finding Quintaine you take a jumphole from Cambridge to Leeds.
Well, that hole is gone, so I need to divert them to New London, and then on to Leeds.
ALSO!!!
I've got a neat little surprise that's being worked on by a member of LR for our mod.
The test was EXCELLENT!!!
Just waiting on the final version.
Watch your 6!

lvxoccvlta:
Well, getting Gemini working should be a surprise to those not following this thread.
Along with:
Reworked Commodities.
Renaming of ALL jumpgates & holes.
Battleship and Paradigm encounters.
Kilrathi Names.
Along with a few tweaks here and there.
BUT!!!
The BIG surprise will be a very special, unique, and very pleasant surprise.
(And ain't nobody gonna miss it, either!)
(And you won't even need to go looking for it.)
Oh, BTW-since I've got the Paradigm showing up when and where I want them, I sent you a screenshot of the present version.
(Very Plain looking.)

Well...
Back to square two.
(Barely ahead of square one.)
I've got most everything working.
All of the new systems look good.
I've been going from system-to-system just fine.
BUT!!!...
When I got to Saxtogue, aka Colorado...
I thought I'd take the tradelane from Oxford, aka Kepler, to New Detroit, aka New York.
As soon as I entered...
I CTD'd!!!
Sooo...
I entered from the New Detroit end.
CTD'd when I entered the Tradelane.
Tried again...
Wandered all over the system...
NO PROBLEMS!
Entered the system via the New Detroit->Saxtogue Hole.
Took the nearest tradelane towards Pueblo...
NO PROBLEMS!
Spun around, and rentered the tradelane to the New Detroit jumpgate...
CTD'D!!!
It's got me stumped!
The last time I got a tradelane to CTD was when I was using the Drone as the Nomad Fighter/Gunboat.
I wonder if using the Broadsword & Crossbow as Gunboats is causing this?
or
If using the Paradigm as a Destroyer is causing this?
Hmmm...
There is a quick test I can do...
Simply remove the "Ships" folder, and retry it.
Ahhh...
That's for tomorrow!
g'nite!
black_phoenix:
If you still want a whack at it...
LMK.
It's a 2.8mb file.

HELLO?
Testing....
Testing.....
Can you hear me?
Is anybody out there?
Am I all alone in this forum?
(No posts, except mine, in two days!?!!)
Is there some holiday I don't know about?
Anywho...
It's not the ships.
It's not the System files.
It's not the Asteroid files.
It's not the Nebula files.
It's not the Weapon's files.
It's not the Commodity's files.
It's not the Equipment files.
Only got the Script.xml and Mission files left to check.

Well...
After trying the obvious...
The could be's...
And the shouldn't haves...
I tried an off-the-wall idea...
And I solved the problem with the Li03 (Colorado/Saxtogue) Tradelane CTD.
For some reason, ALL of the Gate/Holes in Li03 HAVE to have something there.
I turned the Iw05 hole (Kepler) and Iw06 hole (Galileo) into an in-system jump.
And I replaced the Galileo Gate with an undockable Dreadnought.
(And I switched the Galileo gate's zone to a "non-lootable asteroid" zone.
No more problems.
Which is really wierd.
Texas (Li04) has several holes/gates deleted, and I don't have any problems in that system.
Oh, well...

Sir Spectre:
I've set up Gemini so that the SP missions should, for the most part, be unaffected by any of the changes.
Mission 05 is the only exception.
Mission 05 is the one where you go after Sinclair on Sprague in Omega 3.
You head into a Nebula, stop at a base, take a jump point, meet the 2 Rheinland defectors who destroy a Rheinland Battleship, and then escape to Leeds through a Jumphole in Cambridge.
Omega 3 is now Telar.
Cambridge is now J900, which is just south of Telar.
(Both of which are in the Fariss Quadrant.)
Leeds is now New Constantinople...
(Which is on the other side of Gemini in the Potter Quadrant.)
As I'm trying to make a faithful copy of the Gemini Sector...
(But not the systems.)
J900 & New Constantinople aren't connected in Gemini.
I've edited Mission 05 so that you need to go to Junction (New London) before heading to New Constantinople (Leeds.)
And before I can run through the missions, I need to make sure that Gemini is completely working.
(Otherwise I won't know if it's the mission, or the Sector, that's causing problems.)
Personal note:
I've gotta go outa town for a day or two.
Update:
With all of the changes to both new, and old systems, it takes about 2-6 hours to completely check everything in each system.
The most common problem is jumpgate/hole orientation.
(Getting them so you're facing the right way when you come out of a jump.)
The second most common problem was my desire to create some unusual systems.
There are several suns, and dust particles, that are rare, or never seen in FL, but are in the coding.
Turns out...
Some of them are only half there...
And trying to use them causes CTD's, and other things.
The third most common problem is exclusion zones.
(Keep needing to add, or change them.)
In systems where I've added new gates/holes, I need to add Exclusion Zones so that asteroids aren't smack in the middle of them, preventing a jump.
Same goes for the planets, stations, and various Tradelanes in the new systems.
Other times, I simply need to rename the zones to correspond to their new Gemini names.
(zones with the wrong names will cause a CTD!)
The last most common error is due to my cut-n-paste gate/hole creation.
Oft times, I've forgotten to rename part, or all ,of the new gate/hole.
(Creates a really neat, never-ending, jump.)
(or a CTD)
With my outa town jaunt, I figure it won't be ready for release before June 1st.

take all the time oyu need to get it working right , better to release it later then sooner , especially if your taking oyur time to carefully test each and every system down to the last little bit of gas in each nebula
