The reason the traderuns were taken out is because they didn't take much time and returned massive profits. A player could easily become rich in a short period of time, which ruins the balance of the commerce system in the game and basically shortens the life drastically.

Hey there Anubis,

Sure, we would definitely be interested in our mod being run on a major Freelancer server. We are, as you might've noticed in the news post, very close to the official release of version 3.11. We are working out all the little bugs and putting the final touches on. There may be other servers running it alongside yours as well. Up to now, however, we have no official word on servers running the complete version once released. Should you host this mod, you will of course be provided with all the necessary documentation and serverside files for the mod. Do you have MSN Messenger? If you do, you can reach me there at [email protected], I'll probably have some stupid name like Rabbit Hunter (cough...Esky). I'm on generally at around 1:30 CMT, though I rarely if ever shut MSN down So if you feel like it, drop me a message, and we can discuss this more

Holy Macaroni.
My apologies for not posting sooner here.

But the critical things: I have a new PC, and I've lost my copy of milkshape, and really can't be stuffed buying another, so I'm tempted to just leave some of the ms3d files with whoever, (probably harrier) but yeah.

Just a small question: You guys still interested in some of the music for the mod? I haven't worked on epsilon stuff for ages, (mainly due to TAFE and other commitments/personal crises) butI'm still willing to get that ball rolling again.

I don't play that much freelancer much anymore, but yeah, still willing to help out. I dunno how I could help after this long, but yeha.

Pity about the Milkshape. I'm sure Harrier or I could "help" you out with getting a new one The latest version of the mod is out. We could always work on making a custom audio/music mod. It wouldn't interfere with the mod, we could just make it so it overwrites music files instead of requiring new .ini code. If you wanna talk about it you should message me on MSN...And we'll see about getting you another key for Milkshape

I just saw the new Mod 3.11, I love the looks of some of the ships you have in it.
I will give it a full text run, it looks great and sounds great as well, it look like it will be a Mod of the year to me LOL

Thanks for the comments Lord Dragon...Sorry none of us have been responding...But work never stops here Release one version, start on the next We have been trying to make some time to pop on some servers so we can get to know some of the players and hear their opinion of the game while they're playing it. So far, only Harrier has been able to make the time to get on a server, but we'll keep trying to make it on and meet some of the faithful. Maybe we'll see you on there, and if not, feel free to come back here and leave us any comments on the mod. The more comments we get, the better we can make the mod.

hello wasnt sure where to put this so i am putting it here.i am running a server with the newest version of epsilon "!!Epsilon V3.11" is the name of my server.i have been having a problem with server crashes and i also know some other servers have had the same problem.is it the mod,cheaters or what i have no idea.i can post my server erorrs if it would help and just so ya know clean install of windows,game,mod man,sdk1.3,the mod everything is a freshly installed copy

Odinsepsilonserver,

I noticed that you said you installed Freelancer SDK. We built this mod around the need for SDK, so players dont need to install SDK prior to the mod. All you need is the mod. See this thread for instructions on how to properly activate the mod.

After installing using those directions, if you still receive the errors, can you let us know where you were and what was going on when you crashed and we'll see if there are any errors in the mod code that need to be patched.

Very weard those error messages.
After reading your messages I did some quick tests.
I was not able to reproduce those errors.
Can you give us more info on where (system) those error messages came up. Any info on which actions were going on at the time would also be helpfull.

ok parabolix i would like you to look at the download page here at tlr the reason i installed the sdk is because on the dl page for the mod it said to lol so there might be some conflicting info here on tlr and i do thank you for your response
i will do a clean install and no sdk this time and see what happens THANKS again

hello danny well i had a player who went to "niyad planet kirra" and got a ceres freighter and everytime he went to leave the niyad system crash everytime so we did an experiment he went to planet kurile in sigma 17 got the same ship and no problems

Harrier located the source of those error messages. I have send him a patch file which he will distribute likely shortly.

I will go over to Niyad and see whether I can track down the source of the crashes your friend experienced.
I assume that you and him tried exiting Niyad at all 3 gates.
Your description does sound like it is a problem with his or the loadout of the Ceres, since FL creates a savegame (autosave) when you are about to enter a new system and might crash due to irregularities.
Did or could you try saving after purchasing the Ceres at Kirra and reload the saved game and see what happens next?

I think I have located the source. Harrier will surely shortly release a patch file to remedie this problem.
