Hey ya Dax, Pain , hows it been going for you guys..Well ive looked and all i seen was that old 4.4 victors redo and 1.28..ack..btw, congrats on the mod position here Dax..also noticed Glock is on the team here also............but hey keep it up guys and its a great thing you ALL do..( yes Glock sir you too)<< i play there..lol..

Bobways removed the mod (which btw IS a beta) and the thread as well... probably because we have a crash that we havent solved as yet, besides it gives us time to do and re-do a couple of ships, tidy up some new weapons.cmps and refine some stuff...
We have also been fiddling about with a single player storyline mod.. where the opposition uses some of our weapons plus the factions we have added also work.. so... If you play the storyline it is not only much more hazardous, but when Juni sends you off to earn some money/get a job thing that she does.... while she checks out 'contacts' ... yeah.. right.. ok.... You find that if you take missions then you might find yourselve fighting much more uber foe.. and to just get to the next meeting point becomes a hazard in itself... However, the ships and weapons that do the job best are available at the right times and locations, even if you have to go looking for them.., and of course have the necessary credits.
You still die .. lots of times... from the infestation of uber enemy's we have added... who popup at gates and blow you to dust before you can say.. wtf was that.... .......

GUYS I GOT TO SAY IT!! This mod has it ALL man..Pimp'in fighters and all the enemies you can shake a justice at...Fight, fight and more fights!!..But But RelliK i like to trade!?!??!..haha, you got it too dudes..Credits to be made but at a cost!!!!!..Most of the time it's your HIDE!!..I cant wait till it goes MP, what a blast !!!!!!!!!!!!
Well I'm back to post after a bit of a hiatus from posting. And I've got some good news
It seems the mod is becoming much more stable. Even with the addition of new ships and weapons. Harrier and I have been busy ripping apart the ships and remaking them or making new ones in general with the help of Buck Danny pointing out errors and fixing them. 13 Ships have been added since the last version and multiple ships have been redone. The Howler, Mirage, Spectre, and Cyclone have all been redone, and all look relatively the same (except for the Spectre which Harrier re-texed and looks awesome now). Most texture changes however have been entirely in changing tga files to dds (which for those who dont know, are smaller, and have built in LODs). New weapons have been added, not to mention more equipment. Included in the new features are the multi-fire guns and Harrier's transparent Nomad ship (the Nightmare), among other things. Some of the systems have been redone by JustSomeGuy and are looking much better. Bases are being populated and encounters enhanced. The .dll errors are non-existant now and most spelling/grammar errors have been fished out.
I'm currently building a website (just a free geocities one) mainly to showcase screenshots and for general information on the mod. Until it's finished, I'll use Photobucket to host screenshots. You can see a screenshot of the Vixen in action with its custom guns here . I'll edit this post and add more screenshot links as I add more to Photobucket.
Btw, the mod will be released very soon, the mod has been sent off to bp and he just needs a couple updates and the readme files. It should be very soon now...

Release is coming very soon, likely within the next week (plus time for BP and E to post it etc). Harrier is finishing up the final ship for this version currently, and it is amazing (as per the usual for Harrier's ships). Most serious errors have been found and eliminated. Only one trouble zone in left in the mod and we are steadily making progress in that area. The game is very stable in SP mode, I have tested the latest version for about 4 hours so far with no CTDs. The upcoming mod will be intended for SP but compatible for MP.
I apologize personally for the lack of in game and concept screenshots, I have been very busy (what with all my loafing around etc ) lately, too busy to get around to hosting screenshots. Once I get some time, I'll get some shots online for you to look over and critique .

We now have the new version (v2.727) up and running. Look for Boston Freelancer (Epsilon mod) server. We also have a seperate forum here to chat about the mod and Boston2 server itself. Already since starting the server at 12:30 AM 1/11/2005 we've had 9 player accounts and 10 characters made! Not bad for a new server 10 hrs old!

No problem Earendil, you helped us out, its the least we can do . I hope the new version uploaded by Harrier is smoother than the past versions. Alot of work has gone into it by Buck Danny and JustSomeGuy with little recognition.
Good to hear about the activity, at least we know that people are still playing .
To Players:
I recommend you do become active (if possible) in the Boston Server forums as well. There are nice forums there and its a good way to learn about or discuss the mod outside of just the developing team.

Already did, I never posted before, but after playing this mod on B2 i can only say one thing "WOW"
Man this has been some work and you're all still busy, quality work guys, those custom ships look great and the starter ship, seems to be flying better then the starflier.
Keep it up and you have Gold in your hands for the modding community.

Thanks for the comments Ashrah, they are much appreciated. We (especially Harrier ) have put many hours of work into the ships in the mod and its nice when we see some complements about them. The new version will be publicly released soon for all to play and will be SP/MP compatible. The download should be less than 40 MB, so while it is still a bit harsh for those on dialups, it is alot smaller than some mods out there.
