Okay - am worried about people exploiting the unfortunate diamond trade route. Please don't as server admin will delete your character. It is pointless, cause if you like the mod but have all teh money you need to do anything - then there is no challenge for you at all.

So - 1) Don't exploit it - do it the old fashioned way
2)exploit it and ruin a mod that should take a while to enjoy, but you ruin out of simple greed.

I wasn't going to release the patch for a couple more days as more ideas have been springing up like hell and back, but if peeps are exploiting it I will churn it out in the next hour. First up - servers. If you play without the update - then you get kicked for cheating - so choose now. You either have two updates or just one...............

By the way, there are more ideas in the update for new stuff. I will be testing it all tonight for feasability amongst other things.....


Apparently its just a incompatibility problem for those running 98 and ME and even some 2000. time to upgrade people! Sorry, i aint a programmer, so not sure why it would go wrong for you guys, but sounds like not alot i can do either!

Please download the latest update and install it. If not sure, feel free to download the whole mod again - i can take it

By the way, delete the old mod if you do a full download! lol

When tried to update 2, there was a porblem in the installation with \mods\Freelancer-Evolutions\data\equipment\models\commodities\asteroids\bini.exe
For some reason my asteroids folder was hidden and read-only, so I had to change that in its properties.
Forget that message if it was just on my computer, otherwise thought it could help some.
Haven't tried to play yet but will asap.

CHIPS I DONT KNOW WHAT YOU DID BUT IM RUNNING ME. IVE INSTALED THE NEW PATCH AND THE NEW ITEMS LIKE CIVILIANS IN THE NEW SYSTEM SHOW UP NOT AN IDS PROBLEM. BUT EVERY THING ELSE IS STILL MISSING.

I WILL DOWNLOAD THE UPDATED MOD#2 AND SEE IF WHILE YOU WERE TWEEKING THAT YOU ALSO FIXED THE IDS PROBLEM

ALSO HAVE YOU SEEN THE DARK LORDS REPLY ABOUT WHAT FIREBASE SAID.
I DONT MOD AND COULD USE THE HELP TO FIX THIS IDS PROBLEM.
MAYBE SOME MODDER OUT THERE CAN TELL US NONMODDERS HOW TO DO THIS IN LAYMENS WORDS

Thanks for the tremendous job all of you did to make this mod. Very fun, very hard, but....
some missions do not tractor in the loot and you are out in the cold with "completing" the mission and not getting credits for bringing loot back. Specifically, Nathan Badders mission in Colorado and another mission with the secret files of the government or something like that. Several times, I would be stuck holding the bag. It occured in the previous build that was out last week as well, if that helps. I am in Ghost ship at level 11 or so.

chips just downloaded updated mod the id? problem is still there but not in the new stuff you just added (civilians) just thought you would like to know

im a bit miffed as i thought this might of worked if any one else on ME/98 gets this mod working let us know how you did it

yeah, it's pretty odd that civilians do show up the way they are intended, and the rest as 'ID?'.

From what I gather, Chips is a bit at a loss at this too, but the good fella is working on it!

He's contacting ppl to see how he can fix it.

It's really weird though that civilians do show up. Maybe he did something different here?

Anyway, I still haven't been able to fix the ID problem on my WinME comp.

Chips - I had a massive crash of my system recently - re- installed XP, FL, FLMM, & ur newest version of game - everything works fine until I try to launch from Manhatten - then it is bye bye to the desktop for me.

Any suggestions?

Chips - brilliant mod. Just one prob though, on Pittsburg the ships are wrong, when I try to buy the Rhino it gives me the Snub fighter instead. I don't know if it does this elseware.

OKay - IF you crash when lauching from manhatten, chances are your on an un-updated server - so that is the cause of the crash!

Am working on IDS numbers, reason you can see the new ones is cause of it being a generate them using FLMM. It would take about a month to make the old version like that though

OH - problem tractoring misison loot eh? Should be fixed if you just empty your holds out. this means in middile of fight dropping shields and jettisoning stuff - ohhhhh..........yes, that was a nasty plan of mine I had.......

Okay - have an experiment to rule out problem with IDS infocards being with FLMM instead of me fiddling with them during modding!

Please read the last two posts on my forum (follow link) and if you feel like trying this method - then click on link and download/install the files.

It should install as LONG as you have the usual setup (as in your game in the following directory
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer

hey, i just wanted to say that i have problems every time that i dock at a prison when using this mod... i get stuck inside and never actually get into space. :S
