Are there any new capships in the works, like the ones that Frost-Works has on their site?

The Super Dreadnaught that they have for Kusari is really good. It'd be cool if someone designed a REALLY large ship, like 3 or 4 times the size of anything so far encountered. In the meantime, I'd love to see at least one capship from each house in your mod, Michael.

I love Nomad Torps and I love the Rebalance Mod. Thanks MD, you deserve it.

Yeah, agreed! FL Rebalance Mod by MD (and the others helping him) are is favourite mod for FL. Nomad Torps consuming 1k energy? Hmmm .. I rather 800 though

Patch for New Systems? That would be nice! Finally! I finally found out that it is the random ships that keep appearing in EA Systems that make the person experience the Crash to Desktop bug. When the coast is clear, I can undock from Earth safely! But when dunno what battleships loads there, I am doomed with a crash.

Hellfury Torps at 600m/s speed and 8000 damage? Sounds .. interesting ...

When I talk about Missile/Torp consuming space .. I was usually referring to the LFs and all that. Unless u end up with a HF or VHF or Freighter, then u might not feel the pinch. As some might know I have a liking for the TIEs, but TIEs are kinda lacking in cargo space.

Problems with planets sometimes, icons for equipment/ships get messed up sometimes.

During the SP campagin on one of the early missions, where you have to fight a group of outcasts, they were flying VHF's, which, with the weapons you have at that time, is like shooting blanks, so unbalanced in this part.

Is it possible to add missions besides destroying the battleships?

GameShark03 --> I love TIEs also and love shooting down X-Wings and other rebel scum. But can you imagine TIE Fighter with big cargo hold? Its hull is just cockpit, engines and cannons - there is no room for cargo. IMHO, light fighters with cargo hold bigger than 20 are generally bad ideas - they are LIGHT! HFs and VHFs seem to be designed as weapons platforms and so they can have loads of ammo aboard.

Yeah, then someone sends a virus to kill your sheilds and your PC .. and when u fly the Independence Day Mother Ship, you can see me and my TIE LF, flying up your "you-know-what"!!

First of all, thanks for all the hard work Michael. Yours is by far the best mod I've tried, mainly because you haven't screwed with what worked in the original. Love the way jumpgates work now...

I only have one real problem:

Upon first entering the EFA system (during the SP story) I immediately got vaporized by about 6000 Corsairs. After finishing the story, I killed Hessians to get neutral with the Corsairs and went back. I got close enough to Earth for the EFA to show up on my Rep list, but they were FULL red and ambushed me. I barely got out of the system alive.

Afterwards, I checked your version of empathy.ini and it looks like "ea_p_grp" is mildly sympathetic (+0.05) to EVERY faction from the original game. Is this intentional?

The empathies you have set for every group relating TO the EFA make sense, so I'll probably hack the file to give them the same empathies in return. I'd rather not have to do countless missions for someone else to bring the EFA up to neutral. I just wanted to let you know in case this is something you want to look into.

Please let me know if there was a reason for the unbalanced empathies, or if I'm just wrong or missing something here.

Is there a ship list that says info on the ships and where to buy them? Im looking to buy a capital ship. Also, where can I get a capital ship strike mission?

EFA is challenging that way. the only fear I have of it is crashing to desktop when a certain type of ship loads when u r undocking.

Ship list, yes, MD released one in a Word Doc format. U can try searching for it off the Download Section in Lancers Reactor.

It looked in the INI file that my rep with the EFA Police gradually decreased if I shot ANY other faction. By the time I met them they hated me. I changed the empathy.ini so the EFA Police now feel about everyone else the way those people feel about them. It just makes more sense to me. Now I'm neutral with them and GOOD GRAVY the battles I've seen already...I just got cut down in the crossfire after departing from the moon...

Long, the Star Destroyer and Nebulon-B Frigate are in the Freeworlds mod. Did not added them to mine because i did not want Rebalance to be a SW total conversion, but maybe i'll add them to strike missions.
Hobag, while on SP campaign go to EFA system in a hyperspace capable ship, like the Awing or Ewing(use the 'Z' key to activate hyperspace), its the only way to survive there at those low levels.
Gameshark, those random CTD's on launch or encountering some tipe of ship load never appear on my test systems, though were reported by some(i wonder if i forgot to add some encounter file to mds archive...?)
Unfortunately the hyperspace engines cannot be added yet, the hyperspace is a side effect of mounting 2 engines on 1 ship and this can be done only at buying time.
Anyway the crashes INSIDE the EFA bases are fixed now, only downside is that all bases look like manhattan.
about that rep problem its indeed because of the fact that EFA is friendly towards all factions, so they get gradually hostile towards u no matter what u shoot. i'll modify the empathy.ini, so they'll be hostile towards pirate/unlawfull factions. thx hobag, nice observation.
